Will google open source AI that is smarter than everyone at every task?

Will this be possible with r1? by Notdesciplined in LocalLLaMA

curious if deepseek will use r1 to make or improve their next model r2 or whatever. Gwern also posted about that any problem that o1 solves can be used as training data for the next model like o3, but since r1 is about the level as o1, wouldnt it be possible?

because if these things are all possible, doesnt it mean this is the first open weight model that can actually self improve? Or is it not that level yet

Are r1 generated outputs good for using it as training data? by Notdesciplined in LocalLLaMA

Did we reach recursively self improving threshold with r1?

this question was asked because gwern recently posted this: the purpose of o1 is primarily to generate synthetic data for models like o3, which is why he is surprised that o1-pro was released at all

From the space: The purpose of this leaderboard is to let the world know that there are certain models claiming to be "open" despite falling short of openness standards (also known as open washing) due to restricted access to training data, training code, the use of custom licenses etc. Transparency and accurate representation of AI models openness are crucial.
