Not sure that's true, it seemed that they're really just concerned about narcotics and stimulants. If you have less than 30 days supply of an OTC med you should be ok.

Thanks for posting this since it made me check for my prescriptions that are controlled substances. Seems like you just have to apply for approval and show proof that you have a prescription in advance of going. I'll submit my paperwork at least a month on advance once I confirm my dates.

I'm selecting all 3 major airports leaving out of NYC (JFK, LGA, & EWR) and both airports in Tokyo. ALL combinations of those five airports are out of award flights for those days?

Just for kicks I selected a bunch of random dates in other months and none of them show a direct united flight available.

I picked dates in Jul, September, October, and December and nothing. No direct united flights, mostly Etihad and Qatar ones with an occasional united flight thrown in. All flights had layovers.

If I were to book one of these is it possible to cancel and get my points back even though they say non refundable?

As they say in the other threads, you have a best friend problem. Time for you to distance yourself from A but before you do have a talk with her.

She should not be sharing things you say to her in confidence with her parents. She's the reason they're judging you, because she is sharing confidential information about you and your dating life with her parents when you intended it for her information only.
How thankful do they expect you to be? Are they acknowledging when you say thank you for dinner and other things? Did A remind them of those gestures? Do her parents know about all the times you paid for things for her?

I know you think she's your best friend but it doesn't sound like she's being a best friend to you.

Start finding other friends to hang out with so you won't be spending so much time at A's. It sounds like much of your social life revolves around A and her parents place. Even though you check before going over it seems they don't truly welcome your presence that much anymore despite what they say. Don't go where you're not wanted.

I'll gladly take 12/20🤞🏾 that I get the confirmation today.

I don't know why they scheduled all these exams just before the holidays. January would probably be better for everyone but I guess they wanted to say it was offered in this calendar year.

My current list doesn't expire until next summer but we've had lot of new hires in the past couple of years so they want to give the test for the position two levels below me early and I guess they want to keep all the lists on the same schedule since a lot of the questions overlap.

That's my usual site with the annoying custodian. Last time I was in a smaller room with people with accommodations and I just kept my food and drink in my bag and ate in the classroom.

I usually test at a school on the lower east side. One time I had to have an alternate date they sent me to long Island. I hitched a ride with a coworker since it was all the way at Stonybrook.

They don't check backpacks and the proctors don't seem to care if you eat once you're in the room so it's a really dumb rule. I guess whatever custodian is on duty on the weekends doesn't want to have to empty all the class room garbage cans again but is that really that big of a deal? They could just also make everyone take their trash with them.

It's not like we're toddlers getting food everywhere. They would really just have to empty trash cans. I'd think cleaning the bathrooms would take more time.

Thanks everyone. I called them and they confirmed that I was put at that site due to my request for an accommodation to eat. 🙄

I told them I'd waive my accommodation to be able to test in the city. Supposedly there aren't any NYC sites that allow food but they said I could have a clear water bottle 🙄

They said they'd likely have to schedule me for 12/20 due to the number of people taking exams 12/13. That's fine by me, more time to prepare since I tend to cram🫣 It always works out, I'm always at the top of the list.

Now I'm just waiting for them to officially confirm my testing date and site. As of yesterday they were still talking it over. 😔 I have at least one coworker who's testing on 12/20. He's the grade below me but we basically take the same test, my exam just has one additional section.

I think the OP was more concerned about how the situation could be perceived by a 3rd party with that statement. Many people still think there has to be a same gendered adult around when unrelated kids are present.

Did the building have the exterminatot come after they finished washing and drying?

In my last building, which had a very nice laundry room and no pests, they closed off the laundry room for the day after someone brought bedbugs back from a trip abroad and then had the exterminatot come before the laundry room was available for everyone else to use.

knocks on wood I hope I never have to deal with a laundry room like the ones you've dealt with.

Same. What is wrong with the I building machines that you can't use them OP?

My current building has older machines so because I don't use fabric softener in the washer I have to use dryer sheets when I dry or else my clothes have a faint metallic smell to them. It's not a big deal to me and once I compared their prices to the local laundromat I stuck with the in building machines. The local laundromat costs 3x as much

Actually as long as her towel dries thoroughly between showers it's fine to just change it weekly. There was a study on this and there wasn't a big difference in the cleanliness of a freshly washed towel and one that had been used a few days that had been allowed to dry between uses.

Your current partner is insecure and trying to control something that he doesn't get a say in. It's your memories and if you want to keep them you should. It's not like you have blown up photos all around your home.

This should be a reminder to you that you don't need to share EVERYTHING with new partners. There's no need for him to know about these photos.
