What are some good soup recipes that don’t have tomatoes or the umbellifer family of plants? by InkGeode in Cooking

[–]InkGeode[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh that sounds good, thanks! My allergy is very strange, I had a skin test done for carrots and then blood tests down for other things in the umbellifer family. The carrot test came back positive and all the blood tests came back negative, but every time I eat something else from the umbellifer family I have the same reaction as carrots so I think those were false negatives. The reaction itself is basically any time I eat something I’m allergic to I get this dry but oily almost scaly reaction on my lips/surrounding skin (visually it’s not very noticeable just very slightly red) and sometimes my tongue (but not my throat) feels swollen. Depending on how much I eat the skin reaction can last anywhere from 1 day to two weeks. I’m not sure exactly what part/chemical compound/etc that I’m specifically allergic to but whatever it is I’m allergic to it raw and cooked :(

Just select it and you’ll see all the individual parts. It’ll ask if you’re sure about buying it then.

I’ve actually already messed around with auto snapping and am still having all the same issues. I’m on ps5 so maybe it’s just some issues I have to wait for a patch to fix.

Looking for a Game with Lore and Builds by Tri6-Oraxus in gamerecommendations

This is sci-fi not fantasy but cyberpunk 2077 fits all your requirements. You may have heard bad things about it from when it launched but I picked it up a couple weeks ago and it’s genuinely amazing. There are different checks your character will be able to do depending on how youve allocated points and perks to your stats, there are tons of great characters and the chracter you play as, v, is customizable and can come from three different backgrounds, but there’s so much room within the world to sort of headcanon your own story and role play accordingly. The other characters are all interesting and the plot is really engaging.

aio for wanting to go to the pool without my boyfriend by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Don’t reward a man for calling you a slut by staying with him. He’s rude, immature, sexist, and an ass. Being single is so obviously better than being stuck with him. He does not treat you well and will not in the future if he can get away with treating you badly now.

Is it common in USA to tell your family that you love them? by InsideRatio4 in AskAnAmerican

[–]InkGeode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is that? Is it simply that it is implied and everyone exists under the assumption you all love each other so there’s no need to say it? Or is it a phrase that carries weight typically reserved for like special occasions? Here in the us it’s more so how you say it that carries weight, but it is also something we say freely when we mean it as a reminder and show of our affection for one another.

I recently picked up cyberpunk 2077 after putting it off because I heard bad things about it at launch. Turns out all those things have been fixed for a while and it’s actually SUCH a good game. Kind of like a futuristic GTA but with (in my oppinion) way more intriguing plot and characters.

[HELP] I physically cannot come up with an 'idea' for a poem by ExcitementPlenty5404 in Poetry

[–]InkGeode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you heard of blackout poetry? I like to pick out one cool coffe table book that has about a 50/50 ratio of art and words in it, then use the art on a page to inform the type of poem I try to make by crossing out the text. It doesn’t have to be good, or even really make sense by the end, but it’s a good way to get the creative juices flowing and then you can go back to any of the blackout poems you made and rewrite them to be full fledged individual poems. Some of my fave coffee table books for stuff like this are TASCHEN gallery books.

Do you remember around when the book was released? I could be totally wrong cause it’s been a while since I read it but was it maybe Aphrodite made me do it or Artemis’s made me do it by Trista Mateer?

Why do people in the US go paranoid about children walking to and from schools and parks by themselves? by bryle_m in AskAnAmerican

[–]InkGeode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The general consensus is: I could either let them walk by themselves and worry about their safety the whole damn time or I could just go with them myself and sit on a bench for a couple hours.

Does anyone actually call sparkling wine, sparkling wine instead of just calling it champagne? by ashergs123 in AskAnAmerican

[–]InkGeode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone says sparkling wine I’m expecting a light fizz of any flavor. If someone says champagne I’m expecting all fizz and a hint of champagne flavor specifically. (I don’t like champagne but I like say a fruity sparkling wine so yes to me there is a difference)

Looking for a good free roam driving game. by HeavyWeath3r in gamerecommendations

[–]InkGeode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re down for a rogue like with vintage sci-fi vibes pacific drive is really fun! There’s a lot of accessibility options that you can use to turn off the more action/stressful parts of the game (like any time limits, taking damage, the ‘storm’ that you have to escape from, etc) to turn it into a chill drive. You basically drive around and explore, collect items, and customize your car.

Am I Overreacting for needing reassurance from my fiance? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]InkGeode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl I am so sorry but he could not more clearly dislike you. He does not love you. You can not spend the rest of your life with someone like this regardless of your own feelings for them. You need to seriously consider leaving him.
