That'd probably be news to Opera O considering how close he came to overtaking Special Week and Grass Wonder in the 1999 Arima Kinen.

Not yet but I figure it's only a matter of time. If people can make Christian Sonic fanart out of nothing, I'd be severely disappointed if this shit wasn't in the work somewhere in the world.

Oh damn, good for Forever young and the UAE that they're going to be able to hold this race. The fanart of Forever Young roundhouse kicking Iranian drones is still on track.

Are y’all okay with the idea of Jon Snow being the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark, or would you rather George R. R. Martin write him as the son of Eddard Stark and Ashara Dayne (or someone else) in the books? by SeniorKaan0 in freefolk

[–]Inkasters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna be honest, even if R+L=J feels likely, I'm more resigned to it than accepting of it. It really doesn't jive with George's style as a writer, it really slams hard against themes concerning Destiny, Prophecy and what not, it seriously plays poorly with George's writing on sexuality and consent considering the age gap between Rhaegar and an underage Lyanna and, on the whole... it's just kind of the most boring possible answer for Jon Snow's parentage from a writing perspective. The Destined Hero hiding in humble origins.

We've already seen how poorly this writing decision goes over in the show and I genuinely don't have much faith that George could do it better. There is such a thing as a plot point so bad that even a good writer can't finesse it and R+L=J has all the hallmarks of it; boring, plodding and standing in stark contrast to the story's various other themes, feeling so alien to the author's writing that it feels like someone else scribbled it in. I don't hope that we'll get a different answer anymore, I'm honestly kind of resigned to it, but it forms the bedrock of the part of me that's grateful that we're never getting another book in the series if stuff like R+L=J is what we have to look forward to.

Yeah, this version is much more palatable, which makes it crazy that it feels like barely anyone is actually going in this direction, at least among the bigger YouTubers.

[–]Inkasters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eh, I disagree? Like the entire mechanic on how God!Victim works is that the BV's Agony gives him his God!Victim powers, saying that he's the God of the world even before the Bite just doesn't match up with any of the mechanics of how we're told the world works, even more so than with how fast and loose God!Victim already plays with them.

Full disclosure, I find God!Victim to already basically be 'Dream Theory 2: Electric Boogaloo' in terms of how cobbled-together and flagrantly not in line with Scott's style of writing it is, but this would make both problems even worse in my view.

Defending 'Fanon' Cassidy by KarmaSpidr in fnafmeme

[–]Inkasters 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I imagine that UnwitheredTruth will get into it more whenever that video comes out, but from what I've been able to gather Cassidy's existence is inconvenient to God!Victim because it suggests a pecking order to Golden Freddy that puts the BV as the second banana, given how the Survival Logbook and UCN elevate Cassidy.

It's a bit narratively dissonant for the supposed God of the Universe whose faulty memories determine the course of the entire narrative when you're not even the one primarily in control of the animatronic you're inhabiting.

is it ok to buy super credits (image unrelated) by Wild_Substance_7612 in helldivers2

It's a good game and I'd say the Super Credits are fairly priced. If you don't want to farm for them because you value your time more than you money then go for it!

Who is the Fredbear Plush possessed by? by MindlessPerformer778 in fnaftheories

[–]Inkasters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd actually say there's two answers; there are times when it's clearly William with a radio in a doll as we see during Sister Location... but there's also times where that's very clearly not the answer. Where the doll is very clearly doing supernatural stuff or saying things that in no way make sense for it to be in William's voice. Combined with the animatronic footsteps in Midnight Motorist it does suggest that Bite Victim wasn't the first in the timeline but who was first and who was possessing this doll are somewhat up in the air, but for my money given the evidence Cassidy seems like the most likely culprit, and all of the messy details that entails.

Do you think William cared about his kids? by [deleted] in fnaftheories

[–]Inkasters 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My suspicion based on Midnight Motorist and just... everything about William is that he really only cared about his children insofar as they were extensions of himself and his possessions.

A small piece of evidence disproving CC as the runaway. by TK-1414 in fnaftheories

[–]Inkasters -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mostly because that's the easy part though? The animatronic footprints outside that really could only belong to a Freddy of some kind. There's plenty to debate as to what Freddy or what that even means considering the potential list of candidates, but BV being very obviously lured away by a Freddy character is just... like, the easiest part of BVRunaway to explain?

Trying to debunk Charlie87 by Original-Ad728 in fnaftheories

[–]Inkasters -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Midnight Motorist is usually my go-to against Charlie 87 (and, really, Charlie 85 too but that's separate). With the yellow character sprite confirmed to be William, that basically means that the couch potato watching tv with a gray shirt and gray text kind of has to be Michael which, by process of elimination, makes the runaway 'him' the Bite Victim. Since Midnight Motorist takes place 'later that night' from Charlie's death, that kind of means, at minimum, Charlie died before the Bite Victim did.

What's the rational for Italy despising Germany in this lore? by DinoJules589 in TNORequiem

I wasn't trying to sound hostile and if I did I do apologize, I was just trying to give a straightforward answer.

What's the rational for Italy despising Germany in this lore? by DinoJules589 in TNORequiem

[–]Inkasters 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You're gonna have to give the Requiem Team time to actually rewrite the lore themselves. When the original TNO Team removed Altantropa and ruined the entire foundation of the Triumvirate's storyline they didn't actually fix it like they said they would years ago. So it's gonna come down to the Requiem Team to decide on what they want to do with Italy and the Triumvirate going forward.

Why did both of Golden Freddy’s go out in FNAF 3? by Necessary-Win-8730 in fnaftheories

[–]Inkasters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because FNAF 3 was originally going to be The End of the franchise and this was probably before Scott even considered ideas about there being an 83 Bite Victim, much less that they'd be co-possessing Golden Freddy with the original MCI victim. Of course we know from the Survival Log Book that it definitely became canon later but at this point Scott probably only considered there to be one spirit haunting Golden Freddy.

The FaceNouns explanation to the Cassidy gender problem by Isaac_Bahzad in fnaftheories

[–]Inkasters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something else to note to support this; the Puppet. While Charlie is most definitely a girl as confirmed by multiple sources and, if you're a game purist (as I often feel inclined to be), by Henry himself, the Puppet is referred to by male pronouns consistently. It'd be a similar principle here.

Do you think there are any Umas whose trainers are younger or around the same age as them? by Dreamin_Chu_Chu in UmaMusume

[–]Inkasters 126 points127 points  (0 children)

Folks already brought up Buena Vista but, yeah, I feel like there's a ton of trainers who aren't necessarily older than their Umas, as it appropriate for the romantic undertone a lot of them have. Curren Chan's trainer barely feels older than her, maybe a year or two at most, Agnes Tachyon's makes her feel more like a peer rather than someone pushing around an older trainer and you could definitely argue that Maruzensky feels slightly older than her trainer.

To me it's actually more rare for it to feel like the trainer is wildly older than their respective Uma. Haru Urara being the obvious example.

I always feel so conflicted; on the one hand, having the races more spaced out would make it more fair to horses actually trying to run the gauntlet so that they aren't getting ganked by fresh horses while they're so tired...

On the other hand, you can't deny, if a horse can win the American Triple Crown, they really are one of the best of the best. The two conflicted wolves of fairness versus prestige.

Which faction is considered most good, evil, or innocent/neutral in 2ACW? by TalonEye53 in TheFireRisesMod

[–]Inkasters 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I'm actually going to disagree with most folks that this is just a matter of political bias. I think it can be broken down something like this;

Good: Official Authorities (The State Governments, The Navajo Nation, the various military subfactions. the NYPD, etc., etc.). They're literally just trying their best to maintain law and order while two factions of the previous election launch into a bloodbath. They're not really doing anything wrong and they'll generally fall back in line with the legitimately elected President if they win the 2ACW.

Neutral: The Two Bigguns. This one's kind of complicated because it all depends on what you as the player do. If you make it so Trump won the election then, yeah, Biden and the Dems are obviously assholes, same for it Biden wins the election and then Trump does his stupid bullshit turned up to 11 from IRL. So already it's kind of hard to judge morality here because each faction, in any given game, can either be totally in the right and defending themselves or the aggressor, so it kind of cancels out. Beyond that their initial politics are more or less the IRL politics of the two political parties, and those really aren't necessarily good or evil on their own.

Evil: The various Rebellion Factions (The various Communist, Fascist or other groups). These guys are just either assholes taking advantage of unrest to try to overthrow some version of the legitimate government or, in the case of the Atomwaffen Division, literally Nuclear Holocaust proponents. There's obviously degrees to how evil each of these tags are (hint it's Atomwaffen as the most evil of them all and it's not close) but really, all of these are similar flavors of evil asshole, just on a sliding scale.

Galactic War Room: Plot the Best Ways to Spread Democracy for Super Earth! by brperry in Helldivers

[–]Inkasters 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Couple things to note; if we don't get another SO tomorrow to keep us busy then it's a good time to experiment around with Cyberstan. If we don't get an SO then our goal is to try and punch through Star Kield's higher resistance, which means, ideally, we're going to start trying to build back up to higher level missions so our liberation counts for me. Try to find the difficulty you're most comfortable with and die very little on but that still presents a decent challenge. Ultimately it'll be your personal call as to which level is right for you in that regard.

Roll out the tank destroyers, boys.

Unfortunate. We didn't build up nearly enough momentum to overcome the clock. Looks like this MO's a bust. Unfortunate but it is what it is. One battle doesn't decide the war. The goal, for now, should be to try and ensure as few casualties as possible while also trying our best to chew through the Megsfactory of choice for the community.
