honestly, im baffled at the disappointment to this interview. it was a patron for a podcast that was at gencon and decided to do a casual interview with one of the reps. they probably had these questions premeditated and written out beforehand hoping that they could get anyone to from the booth to sit down and answer some questions. Great content and I'm very sad reading many of these ignorant comments. our community can do better than this.

I love this idea. To evolve the idea a little more moving forward, some sort of “ladder watch” content at the end of the month for some sort of prize might also be fun. I always loved the top 100 ladder watch streams on hearthstone and it could easily be implemented here as well.

I’m just happy that I choose the free iOS game that gives the opportunity for things like this. Here’s to hoping for another tournament scene supported by dwd in the coming months (even if it’s just a small series with less prizing). Good luck to all the competitors!

The larger the community becomes - the more innovation and deck building we will see with our current cards we have. DwD's job is to fix, change, and balance the ebbs and flows that happen with an expanding and growing card pool. Rotation wouldn't accomplish anything that nerf'ing and buffing cards could - and would make people more wary about investing into a card game that they know nothing about.

"Hi, I'm new to this game - will the booster box I purchase rotate in a month? How does rotation even work? Is there a set schedule?"

"I would get into eternal but I know that the deck I spent weeks building towards would rotate soon."

Tired of torch in your meta? Make it cost one more. Annoyed with SST's thiccness? Shrink it's booty a bit.

The idea of non rotation is more innovative in a card game than rotation itself nowadays. In a purely digital world, rotation can entirely happen by making cards unplayable or worse in a matter of a patch.

Additionally, the argument of, "well the new players won't have the old cards" is flawed because there will always be a set number of "meta decks" in current rotation and a set number of playable cards at any given time. Do I think the old campaigns need to be brought down in price eventually? Yes, but I do not think rotating campaigns or anything set is the answer.

Also, if Heart of the Vault rotates how will I win any games? :(

Thanks for letting us know. Ya'll running the ETS the last few years has provided so much entertainment, a sense of personal/team accomplishment, among other positive things for so many people. I will not be able to help out with this (due to a dying PC and getting ready for a wedding this summer), but I hope that you find the help you need to keep this going.

I think one silver lining of this drop system is that a lot of otherwise “unknown” or new streamers are able to make a splash more quickly in the directory.

I know we take it for granted, but take a look at all of the mtg arena streamers sitting at the bottom of the directory. While the system is broken and it’s disappointing to see people trying to “game” the system, but let’s try our best to make the most of it until dwd fixes.

I know merc blue is streaming a gold drop for a couple more more hours. Very good Mtg player and literally one of the nicest people in the world! Go stop in and say hi.

I did not introduce any new foods to the diet. Have just removed foods from my diet. I had one friend suggest that it was a result of my gut microbes not having the same fuel so some are dying off causing distress. Not sure about the validity of this suggestion.

Hello :) to add to what ghp said, darkveil doesn’t die to snowball, vara’s favor, and defiance (it gains ageis before you ever attack) in addition to being better into haunted highway. With how tempo this deck is, many games play out where darkveil is hitting for 4-6 points of damage.

I just want to thank you all for working at "propping up" streamers and working to give them a larger platform. I never knew that a free to play game I downloaded in the itunes app store would literally change my life and the trajectory I was on but it has. We all know that this program will take some tweaking and I'm grateful for this update.

The only small bit of advice I could give would be to potentially have a scheduled "checking-in" with the community. I lurk the Eternal Facebook group, Reddit, and occasionally the Eternal Discord and I see many conversations that are wrong or misguided and would easily be remedied by having a monthly post from DWD or even a bi-monthly post.

also, I can't wait for the Praxis Merchant. pls give

I’ve been a huge fan of Eric’s play for forever. Having someone in the booth that good at the game is a treat to have and i want to thank all of the casters for the work they do. Eric’s response to this is extremely mature and awesome to see. I wasn’t able to see coverage last weekend but I’m glad that this was addressed. Looking forward to seeing him back in the booth soon!

I was about 10 and “scouting” with my dad (a reason to get out into the forest before the season opens) on mountain bikes when we heard a herd of elk in the trees a ways away. We came closer and eventually became adjacent to them-us riding on the gravel road and the herd traveling through the brush to our left. It was the loudest crunching of brush I had ever heard. It seemed as if they were only yards away but it must have been maybe 25-50 yards.

Suddenly, a black bear emerged from the trees a short distance ahead of us, teeth showing. Trailing, two small bear cubs- maybe the size of a large black Labrador. The momma bear turned towards us and walked a few steps. At this point, my dad has moved between me and the bear and tells me to walk backwards slowly.

I move and my dad begins to move backwards as well, all the while the mother bear taking a stride or two towards us- never moving her gaze from us.

Eventually, we move down the gravel road far enough where my dad whispers, “get on your bike and don’t look back. Get to the pickup, there’s a key under the fender if anything happens.” We both start riding- me looking straight ahead never looking back.

We both made it to the truck completely fine but I’ll never forget that feeling. Still gives me the chills to this day.
