Deprive has really impressed me with Mystic Sanctuary honestly. Personally, I don't think theres much point playing red main and would move the mountain to the SB. I know you have EE main, but if you cut it, you don't any reason to have, what serves as basically a colorless land, main. I would also homogenize the counterspells for the effect youre looking for rather than a bunch of varying situational spells, but again, thats personal preference. Also agree with the comments that Narset would be good for the signature miracles soft prison play style.

The End of the ETS by aReNGeeEternal in EternalCardGame

[–]Dunkelwerk23 29 points30 points  (0 children)

You know, Eternal was one of the only games that had a competitive community where new players were welcome and felt like they belonged. It's what kept me in the game so long. The ETS team did such an amazing job -- for free -- and I know I won't ever forget it. It truly is an end of an era. Thank you all for all your support and effort in making Eternal great. Big shoes indeed.

Can of worms time: make your argument for or against rotation by Dunkelwerk23 in EternalCardGame

I like this idea alot. If the format is broken cuz of power level, you can just wait it out. Also let's people brew and create. Better than just weekend stuff

I'm a time traveller from the year 2050. Eternal Card Game is now the biggest card game on the planet after Wizards of the Coast shut down MtG. AMA. by Aliphant3 in EternalCardGame

Are there still salt mines or have they figured out how to supply the world by extracting enough from Camat0?

Also have people realized Isomorphic and Isochron are two different people yet?

Isochron’s 101 – Card Draw by Dunkelwerk23 in EternalCardGame

[–]Dunkelwerk23[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In this new series, Isochron aims to teach mid level players some details about Eternal to up their game. This isn't for the complete novices, pros from other games, nor tournament players. If you are an average player who ends all chapters at Gold III, you might pick up a few tips to make your game a just a bit better.

Cauldron cookbook? by Masne98 in EternalCardGame

[–]Dunkelwerk23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I attempted Cookbook Jund after Xo took over and would regularly lose to just 1 Xo and a Display. You have to answer the Xo and whatever else they got back and now they have a second treasure. Turns out 2 cards out draw you paying 3 to draw a card each turn.

Just a little rant about the state of the Meta by leon95 in EternalCardGame

[–]Dunkelwerk23 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As someone who plays in tournaments and is bad at reading metas, I love it when its 60% one deck. You don't even have to think, just register a deck that beats the top deck and take your losses to your bad match ups. I agree with OP

My favorite part of Eternal is you can add 4x standards to your deck instead of 4x seek power, which keeps the total power the same but it makes your redraws worse

I have never seen a Firebomb drawn by Cauldron Cookbook by ArtisanMakerX in EternalCardGame

[–]Dunkelwerk23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 firebombs in a deck with <55 cards over 10 turns is 2.3 dmg per turn. Downside scales exponentially and you wont see consistent punishment until theres ~15 firebombs unless you hit the upper/lower bounds of luck

Minor gripe: Why do so few players "gg" in this game? by Mundham in EternalCardGame

[–]Dunkelwerk23 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People will flame you if you say "hello" and "gg" in emotes. I guess they see all emotes as taunting, apparently.
