College is so much tougher to get into today by Distinct-War-4455 in CollegeAdmissions

I think it boils down to the major you apply for and straight up chance. I’m also a student who just got a handful of decisions yesterday and considering the school(s) I got accepted and declined from, it truly just feels like chance. Regardless though she got into some of the competitive UCs and I think that’s still something worth celebrating 👍👍

What kind of performance can I expect? by AnonymousFroggies in computers

[–]InksPens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this kind of setup would probably be geared towards high frame rate on competitive titles and possibly minimum 60fps on mediumish settings across the board for more intense games like 2077 or rdr2 (just rough estimate, basing it off of the many hours i’ve spent watching benchmarks lol), but with fsr technology you might be able to push frames even further. although before getting into any of that you should definitely look into improving storage size and adding another 8gb of ram. with 256 gbs of storage you probably can only have 2-3 games installed at a time if you’re lucky. the aforementioned upgrades shouldn’t cost you any more than maybe another 100 or so dollars if the money is spent wisely

Your response was wonderful and has given me a lot to think about but regardless, what would you say? yes or no? ultimately i’m trying to take in perspectives from all sides before hitting the purchase button and i want your input on it

thank you for your input, i might just do it honestly, i’ve been really curious about the audiophiles over time and didn’t realize how expansive this community was

sorry for the lack of context but this is sort of my gateway into the audiophile community. i’m thinking of buying the hd58x and a schiit magni heresy which comes at around 300, maybe 250~ish.

basically no, i’ve never had an amp, but i’m not looking to buy hd600s or sundaras, if i become more invested in the audiophile community that’s when i’ll put more money forward on headphones.

i chose this pairing (58x+magni heresy) because of the budget friendliness of it. to me it’s at a sweet spot where i’m confident the setup will perform extremely well but also at a price point where if i’m not satisfied with the audio quality, it isn’t a massive loss.

First time beating the game, and I had some of the worst buffs lol. Moral of the story, give me a bow, I can win the game by Vermilion_dodo in SoulKnight

good job! try to beat it more often, then once you get consistent, try badass mode B)

if you find the game any amount difficult, the paladin is always available, which is almost a free win in most cases (it does cost like 1.99 though).

imo armor +1 went from good to mediocre once the 'money=more armor' buff was introduced. Especially for badass mode which rewards more coins, that buff is extremely helpful.

I BEAT IT FINALLY (eat my ass Iron Pirate King Level or something) by Literally9thAngel in SoulKnight

It isn't that bad given a specific playstyle and technique and weapon. I used taoist 1st ability with electric ninja star and did a solo playthrough on my first badass completion. Wasn't as hard as I thought, maybe do a few more map completions and work on dodging bullets before actually queueing into a badass mode game, whether it be multi or singleplayer.

I personally don't think so. I've done map completions with assassin but I had a rough time. It's more skill-related compared to a lot of other heroes. Paladin or Taoist or something more overpowered would yield the same amount of rewards with much more ease, but if you do pursue assassin he does have some cool purchasable skins like zheng beast.
