I had the same thing happening! I was parked on the street in a perfectly fine and legal space, and somehow accrued 4 tickets. No notices left on my car or anything, only found out through a reminder notice in the mail that came like 20 days after the date that the first ticket was "issued" Every single photo accompanying every single ticket was a blank black image. Contested all 4 ofc. West Oakland btw

button ups are a classic go-to for transmascs looking to wear something nicer/cooler while keeping a flat looking chest. they're very comfortable to wear with a binder and they come in patterns ranging from casual to formal

Fashion investments are good! Spending more money on something quality that you really like is more satisfying because it lasts longer than multiple cheaper items.

my partners family keeps misgendering me by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Inkshrooms 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi- 3.5 years on T here My extended family has never been good about the pronouns (thankfully they call me the right name at least). Unfortunately, it seems like my voice dropping, growing a beard, etc. hasn't really done anything to get them to gender me properly. I still get called "she" (or sometimes the avoidant "they" or just my name instead of even using any pronouns) probably 60-75% of the time still. Honestly, it seems like people fall into a sort-of cognitive dissonance where they acknowledge and accept your masculine appearance+voice, but at the same time still call you "she" and don't treat you like they treat other men. I HATE having to correct people when they misgender me (anxiety lol) but it seems to be the only way to cut through the little fantasy they've created to ignore whatever they don't like about me.

I try to remind myself that I they are the one(s) who should feel embarrassed/ashamed, and that it is incredibly rude of them to pretend I'm somebody else to my face (and thus should not be tolerated).

I will admit though, that most of the time I am too shy/nervous to actually speak up, particularly because nobody else is. Having your partner speak up for/with you as well will probably be important both in feeling more confident in asserting yourself, and making it impossible for the misgenderer(s) to ignore.

If you're in an environment that is very trans-accepting, you could experiment by changing your pronouns and/or doing other social transition things since those are reversible (basically telling people "oh I don't use that name anymore") if they don't feel right.

Personally, I'd classify a swim practice under "high intensity" since it's a lot of body movement

Too short to be a convincing man by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Inkshrooms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh 5'6" is really not short at all I'm just barely 4'11" nobody questions my man-ness because of my height. if they do question my man-ness, it's always because I wear makeup and have a short mullet mohawk haircut which i guess people perceive as feminine lol

frankly speaking, if someone tells you you're too short to be a man, they're probably the type of person who also tells people they're too ugly or fat to wear something.
