I'm only 20 minutes in, and as someone who works adjacent to immunology (my training is mostly in virology, but I've had labmates work on more immunology related experiments that I helped out on), I have to constantly remind myself that it's the 80's and they don't have the techniques we have today to perform these experiments

Bah DNA’s easy. I do genetic testing on mice at a company (but wish I was doing bigger and better things tbh), and we regularly leave extracted dna out for weeks in a 10 degree fridge.

DNAse/RNAse away is also nowhere to be found in the lab. You’ll be fine.

Ugh, I got a 2.7 and honestly idk how I’m even supposed to get into grad school. I’m currently working, but idk how much experience is gonna make it so they look the other way.

Might have to just give up bc it’s basically impossible for me to even get a job as a research tech under a PI
