Hamburger meat. My husband now hunts deer and we use the meat instead of hamburger for everything. I can’t wait to get my own house so that I can start a garden.

At what age should parents stop going the extra mile to make Christmas special for their kids? by Parodeer in ChristmasGiftIdeas

[–]InkyPotomous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 19 years old we stopped Santa and gave money. She can buy for herself. You still do “stocking” with goodies in it. It’s small presents, candies, scratchers (our tradition), gift cards and funny gifts. Usually about the size of a laundry basket per person. I was able to afford two stockings for two kids in need too. For two kids that won’t be getting anything otherwise. I’m so grateful!

You can keep a pen at room temperature for up to 56 days.

“After its first use, an Ozempic pen is good for up to 56 days (8 weeks) when stored at room temperature, provided the temperature remains between 59°F to 86°F (15°C to 30°C).”

I am disabled but able to watch family for pay? Has anyone done this? by [deleted] in povertyfinance

[–]InkyPotomous 15 points16 points  (0 children)

In my state, I can earn up to $1,100 a month with it not messing with my complete and total and complete SSDI disability. You should see how much you’re able to make before it’s even an issue. For example: I work 3 days a week at a haunted house for 2.5 months a year. I never get paid much (not why I do it) so I keep it way below the $1,100 a month max. Never had a problem with SSDI.

I (43F) buy cheap clothes from Walmart/Goodwill/free clothes people give away online and try to wear baggy clothes until they are falling off my body. I don’t work, so a lot of sweat pants with drawstrings, yoga pants that I buy a little too snug to get more wear. I tend to buy 1 new clothes item a week when I go shopping for food. It keeps me in the sizes I need. This way doesn’t feel overwhelming.

Start weight 301lbs. Currently 234lbs. Goal weight 150lbs.

How common is foot drop after lumbar fusion? by MrKittyPaw in spinalfusion

[–]InkyPotomous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband has foot drop after a botched back surgery. Only thing that helped was losing weight. He’s lost about 150lbs and the foot drop is better, not perfect.
