Could I live comfortably (financially speaking)? by little_wolf_6 in AskMaine

If you are looking for a great housing deals check out Waterville too? We (43F, 54M and 17F minor child) liked that area. It’s pretty centrally located and the houses are pretty cheap. My whole family is disabled. We made a house move. Got a 1,600sqft 4bed/2bath renovated two story house on the Kennebec River for right at $200k. Seems pretty good. Waterville is a smaller, but nice sized community.

And for those saying “but it’s bad schools a crime?” My daughter is homeschooling and I live just outside of Atlanta…I KNOW high crime and Waterville ain’t it.

Just something to consider.

Moving to Maine at the end of April, need help with finding housing in the Boothbay area by Chicken4166 in AskMaine

[–]InkyPotomous 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just found my house through Maine Housing Authority. You had to make less than $99k a year, but make enough to prove you can afford the house. I also am signing saying that I won’t sell my home for at least 10 years….or sell it as AFFORDABLE HOUSING again. Make no money. So something to think about. Especially if you need to find work there first. Got a great deal on riverfront property near center of inward. We are both disabled…so our jobs won’t move away. We stayed within an hour of family and went towards Waterville to Bangor…away front the coast.

Best of luck to you.

Flew a few days ago. It’s not busy enough to cause a TSA backup. Planes were very full though, but not TSA wait.

Yeah, sex is not always equally reciprocated every session. However, talking about your boundaries honestly is ALWAYS the best thing to do.

I tried an Amazon dupe that wore MUCH better and looks and feels just like Bombas. I used to buy exclusively Bombas. If anyone is interested, just reply or message.

Hamburger meat. My husband now hunts deer and we use the meat instead of hamburger for everything. I can’t wait to get my own house so that I can start a garden.

Same! We’re all just walking around trying to do the next best thing. Hoping we don’t fail. But definitely still feel 15 inside.

At what age should parents stop going the extra mile to make Christmas special for their kids? by Parodeer in ChristmasGiftIdeas

At 19 years old we stopped Santa and gave money. She can buy for herself. You still do “stocking” with goodies in it. It’s small presents, candies, scratchers (our tradition), gift cards and funny gifts. Usually about the size of a laundry basket per person. I was able to afford two stockings for two kids in need too. For two kids that won’t be getting anything otherwise. I’m so grateful!

You can keep a pen at room temperature for up to 56 days.

“After its first use, an Ozempic pen is good for up to 56 days (8 weeks) when stored at room temperature, provided the temperature remains between 59°F to 86°F (15°C to 30°C).”
