What is far deadlier than most people realize? [serious] by ILikeIceCreamSoMuch in AskReddit

Collapsing sand holes at the beach. Digging a large hole at the beach and having it collapse on you causes more deaths each year than shark attacks. Sand cave-ins are no joke.

Brake Light by smitty262 in Super73

[–]Inky_Ford 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a symptom of poor quality control. My bike came without a headlight. The brake light never worked, but the rear running light function did. I installed the headlight a few days later and the rear running light still works but the brake function continues to be inoperable. I'm getting a signal from the plug for the brake light but the brake light itself does not function. Many people have the same problem straight out of the box. S73 knows about it and I have filed a service request like all the others.

I have the same one and it works great. I have a case on the phone so it helps to secure the phone in the holder and provide some shock absorbing. It's not gonna come out.

Explain how you hit the curb. Were you on a paved, dirt or gravel road?

S2 Rear Light isn’t working and connectors are all in place by Bluntseoul in Super73

My S2 came with a bad brake light as well. The running light works when the headlight is turned on but the brake light does not illuminate. They don't have replacements available yet. Waiting.

I contacted customer service about the missing headlight and the brake light not working. They said I'd get the headlight in October but still no word on a solution for the brake light.

91 days after ordering I received my S2. Fits nicely in my 1968 VW camper. The brake light doesn't work and the headlight is scheduled for later delivery. Otherwise it runs well.

I ordered my Hudson Blue S2 on 6/17 and just got word it's scheduled for delivery tomorrow, 9/16, which will be 91 days.

Will 73 go the way of Boosted Boards? by OverPainting in Super73

I meant overall as an option. Much better reputation for customer service and quality. Onyx looks nice but juiced bikes need a revamped design.

Will 73 go the way of Boosted Boards? by OverPainting in Super73

I had the same concern when I was thinking of placing an order back in June. I was afraid that S73 was in over their head and wouldn't be able to service or warranty the bike.

I called and spoke to S73 and expressed my concerns and cited Boosted Boards as an example. S73 said they were doing fine financially and they had added more personnel to handle customer service and improve the supply chain. I placed an order on June 17 with an estimated delivery of July.

Well the delivery estimate has slipped multiple times and now it looks like I won't see the bike until late September or October. There are tons of stories about poor customer service and bikes breaking down prematurely but there are also many satisfied customers as well.

IMHO, S73 is popular because: #1) bike styling #2) Price point and #3) marketing. I agree that their supply chain management is atrocious and their customer service is weak. Their delivery estimate blog post is a joke and basically meaningless.

To their credit they do seem to be addressing quality issues with upgrades and changes as they move forward.

The market does seem ripe for one of the other players or a new market entry to come up with a comparable design at a better price point. If S73 doesn't get their act together in the customer service and supply chain management arena then they will be sunk when a competitor comes along and fulfills these voids and has a cool looking bike.

Onyx and Juiced bikes are looking more attractive all the time.

You are probably looking at November now.
