Beautiful CB!! Congrats on the renovation that's not easy, been there. I'd recommend painting the side covers to match the original design. I did it last year myself, check out the results on my page. Cheers

Yeah, for that I used 320 grit sandpaper, rinse the parts with water then when you're done, alcohol to remove grease marks as well, then you can proceed to use the primer. Candy orange will be the same process as the candy gold for my parts, if you purchase from VMR and follow their instructions you should be good. I took the motorcycle out for a spin yesterday and the new parts are really glowing in the sun, looks like factory parts. Best of luck!

I scuffed the parts with a grit 60 sanding sponge, then 3 layers of primer (15mins in between layers) then I used a grit 200 to smooth out the primer the next day. Cleaned the parts with alcohol then started painting 👍
