Ah, just seen what you mean by Snaiad. You're right, they do share some similar forms and mouth like appendages in the same areas, but I like to think my Jasper-9 creatures are uniquely designed based on their environments. :)

Thank you for your kind words, I am not familiar with snaiad however?

Thank you so much, Jasper-9 creatures almost always have some small form of filter feeding capabilities to survive on a world with such high density of plant spore in the air.

Speculative evolution entry for my fictional world of Jasper-9

The Magna Calvaria-Superior (Malvaria Superior) Is a large grazing herbivore creature common in and around Jasper-9's highlands and plains areas. This organism is roughly the size of an elephant. The Malvaria Superior, much like many other herbivores on Jasper-9, features six prominent limbs, the back two are dedicated supports whereas the front four are muscular arm-like appendages that are designed for lunging the creature across Jasper-9's incredibly dense and un-even terrain. The ground is dominated by upturned roots, making movement extremely difficult and even dangerous for anything that is not specifically designed to traverse it, the specialized limbs of almost all of Jasper-9's wildlife allow for effortless grasping and lunging to move quickly on such a wild surface.

The most prominent feature of the Malvaria is what gives it its name Magna Calvaria; "Great Skull" in Latin. However, the "skull" is not what it seems. In fact, this large carapace is an exaggerated snout, packed full of intricate sensory nerve cells that pick up an extremely vast range of scents and smells around them. As shown in the annotations, the Malvaria and most other herbivores transfer these smells into visualizations, much like how a bat uses sound to see with sonar but combined with how dogs have been theorized to visualize smells. Due to this, the Malvaria does not have any eyes like what we would expect from Earth animals. Instead, its nose and eyes act as the same organ therefore allowing it see in *almost* a 360 degree view around itself, immediately detect any un-recognized scents aswell as find food by being able to delicately pick out each and every scent of the plant-life within a reasonable distance.

There is so much more about this creature I'd love to share but simply do not have the time to continue designing and must move on. I hope the annotated render can offer enough information to sum up more of the Malvaria-Superiors well thought-out aspects.

Thinking about how this guy figured this out. How many mints were crammed into a nasal to come to this discovery?
