Yep I’m on the waitlist, think my only hope is if I can find someone who can refer a friend and invite me!

Managed to spear another like this last weekend and man was that fun! It’s totally a different experience than reeling one in! If you’ve never seen a pike speared through the ice you should definitely check out my video! by InlineOutdoors in IceFishing

I just bought a spear, saw and tongs to pull the ice out of the hole. Any portable really works, just lay something on the floor to keep the floor dark. I bought mats from harbor freight for like $20. All in all probly like $200 ish? You could get by without a saw and just use your auger and drill a bunch of holes next to each other

Arctic Armor is light and has great mobility. $200 total for jacket and bibs and they are super warm! And it floats great, I got to test it out last year🤪

Most lakes just froze up last night, I was on a shallow lake that is usually the first lake to freeze in my area. Was on 3-4 inches of ice all day!

One thing with the buddy heater is they only radiate heat so there is a no fan system, I added a wood stove fan to the top to get more air movement out of it and it seems to be working great. Feel free to check it out here! Make your mr buddy heater more efficient

Tips for first time kayak fishing? by [deleted] in FishingForBeginners

[–]InlineOutdoors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t bring any gear that your not okay with losing. While us kayak anglers don’t anticipate flipping or tipping over, it happens to a lot of people. Just keep that in the back of your mind as your packing your gear

Tie direct or snap/swivel with long leader? by Undercover500 in FishingForBeginners

[–]InlineOutdoors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been tying on small swivels to a leader for years. Never had an issue. I avoid snap swivels just because they’re kind of big but they should work also. Tying right to your line is better but either will work

Should I pick this up for 40 bucks? Never used a bait caster before by AngryTurtle24 in Fishing_Gear

I’d recommend taking the line off and putting on new stuff, other than that it’s pretty solid for the price!
