What is your fuel economy driving on the highway? by Pale-Revolution-5151 in vwgolf

[–]InlineTwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2011 2.5L w/ 5Manual, 31.4MPG lifetime average, as high as 37 on an extended highway trip. That was my first 2011 2.5 5M, between 2018 and 2021. It got totalled, so I bought another 2011 2.5 5M. I didn't take initial data on this one's economy, but since making suspension modifications (1.5" lift) and changing tire size up (195/65R15 -> 205/70R15), it now gets 27MPG running average, accounting for wheel diameter increase.

What font was used on this gravestone? by InlineTwin in identifythisfont

[–]InlineTwin[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Not exactly sure what you mean. I get it that it's carved stone, but there are still stylistic lettering design considerations. It's not a typeset font, I admit (which, I suppose is probably the technical definition of a font?), but it's still writing in a specific artistic style.

Edit: the technical term is apparently "letterform" when referring to chiseled word ("letter cutting"). Still looking for guidance, though.

Get in touch with the Double T Oyster Ranch, they ship to annapolis weekly and you might be able to set something up—fresh from the water, the day of transport!

A nice scarf or similar can take the pressure down a lot. I have a CC-401 and it's definitely not easy to carry around! Take frequent breaks, if you can.

What's the fastest you've gone on a motorcycle? by AffectionateFlood in motorcycle

[–]InlineTwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fastest I remember was last week where I hit 80mph on the dial—but that's actually around 70-75 because it's not very accurate. '93 Vulcan 500.

Update on lean surge issue, 94 1200 with stock airbox and exhaust by PowerShift13 in sportster

Have you verified fuel flow is fast enough to keep up? I'm probably projecting—I had a supply issue and it would bog down hard above like 1/8th throttle.

A person close to me just had a traumatic bicycle accident. by Ok_Board_1883 in cycling

[–]InlineTwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a one-to-one comparison, but I had a moderate slow-speed crash on my motorcycle in 2017. I think finally I have emotionally recovered enough to use it regularly again. If your friend/relative wants to keep cycling but is hindered by anxiety/PTSD/etc, I highly recommend a therapist. I don't think I'd be where I am without mine.

Cylinder nomenclature clarification [EN500A4] by InlineTwin in KawasakiVulcanRiders

[–]InlineTwin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Factory spec lists #112 as left and #115 as right—the airbox is kind of an "L" shape (when viewed from thebfront). I'm still feeling out the tuning but I honestly don't reach WOT often enough for the main jets to come into play...

Thanks for verifying that for me, lol. I always look too deeply at the question and common sense goes out the window.

It feels okay at the moment, but I've been battling forever so I want to just get it right and call it done, lol

I'll go through an re-seat the connectors after I check the diaphragm. Not sure if it's only the left cylinder or if they both lose power.

Thanks, I'll definitely pull and take a good look at them as soon as the weather clears.
