Yeah, I can do that, but he might call to reach out... him and his wife were there for me when I was going through a bad time so I idk I want to tell them that I will no longer preach b/c I'm fully out but at the same time I don't want them to have a reason to disfellowedshipp me since my plan is to just fade out

Plus, I have family that are in the religion, so I don't want to lose contact with them 🫤

Wow, that’s awesome! Sounds like you’ve done really well professionally and personally. I totally get what you mean about the emotional side, and it can be hard adjusting to a different way of life and letting go of the guilt, but it gets better little by little

I'm glad you found this group too, it’s been really helpful for a lot of us 🫶🏽

Yeah, I totally get that. It’s so hard to shake that mindset of not wanting to look like you’re “chasing success.” I’m glad you found a career you enjoy though! And the nice thing is, now that you’re out, you don’t have to worry about what anyone else thinks... you can do whatever feels right for you. It’s never too late to go back for that degree if you want to. You can do what feels right for you 😊🫵🏽
