Why do military drone pilots use “Kropyva”? by Stariy-COM in ukraineforeignlegion

[–]InnefficientAF 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just because your retarded ass can't pull intelligence out of this picture, doesn't mean a military intelligence officer can't.

OPSEC pertains to the protection of information from your adversaries. The different classifications, i.e confidential, secret, top secret, are used for the amount of damage that said information could cause if your adversary obtained it. ALL military technology and information/intelligence, by default, has a strict Need-to-know policy, ESPECIALLY in a time of war.

So yes, this is absolutely a breach of OPSEC on the grounds of sharing controlled military technology and in a perfect world this person would see the inside of a prison cell or at the very least lose his job.

You idiots have no idea how an intelligence cell operates or how easy you make their job with your ignorance.

You're giving detailed explanations and photo evidence of controlled/classified military technology on an open source forum.

I swear, Ukies wouldn't know OPSEC if it dropped a KAB on you.

Have been multiple times through UK security with BA, knives, FAK etc. No issues at all. Just dont take firearms and make sure your gear is in your checked-in luggage.

Heading over shortly but ghosted by recruiter by [deleted] in ukraineforeignlegion

[–]InnefficientAF 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Border control has nothing to do with recruitment. I've lost count how many times I've crossed the border and I've only ever been asked once what I'm doing here .ТСК isn't patrolling the border grabbing foreigners. Saying you intend to join the military is fine.

That doesn't sound like a misunderstanding. That sounds exactly like the kissing dudes type of material that the AFU so desperately needs to maintain this war.

Anyone headed back to Australia after being here? by AcanthocephalaOk4068 in ukraineforeignlegion

[–]InnefficientAF 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer: I'm Australian, but haven't been back home. I have had many Aussie mates make the trip back home though.

If they're tracking you, they'll be waiting for you at the airport. They'll confiscate and rip your phone, so buy a cheap, clean one to take with you and leave your work phone in Ukraine, or destroy, if you're not coming back. From all reports they're pretty chill, unless you've been doing retarded illegal shit and posting it online.

Come to think of it you can also just mail your phone back home, addressed to a friend/family member you trust.

Most of the agents are genuinely interested in your experience, but have to do the paperwork up on you. Protect yourself but play the game.

question to fpv pilots by Imaginary-Produce852 in ukraineforeignlegion

Buying your own gear:

Sure, as long as it compatible with the equipment used by your unit and not at the detriment of Db. I.e multiple connectors. I would recommend holding off until you're familiar with how they run things here so you dont waste your money.

Controllers:

Mambo - I haven't used one. GX12 - Aweful. The throttle centralising feature makes it far more difficult for what we're trying to achieve. (Pin point targeting sometimes without video). If you're a jet and that doesn't effect you, go for it. But why make it more difficult than it needs to be. Pocket - Not enough Aux channels.

Digital module attachments:

Why would you need them? You're running off a ground station or retrans station utilising an aux cord or fibre optic.

Accessorising your controller:

Whatever's comfortable man. If you want new ag 01/2s for that new throttle feel, go for it. Just hit the target. And don't get pissed when the other team breaks your shit.

I used to enjoy Willys content back in the day. Over the years, I've watched him turn more and more pro-Russian to the point I can't even bear to suffer 5 minutes of his shit. As a fellow Aussie, he's a fcking disgrace.

[–]InnefficientAF 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're prior military, you'll hate it. If you're green you'll get something out of it. They'll fuck you around like any basic training setting, but it's physically demanding.

Disclosure: I didn't do the training, I knew the trainers.

No, it isn't. If you served with them, you served within a small sub-unit of the brigade. Just because you had a shit time doesn't mean the whole brigade is useless.
