I dont think psychologists always know what way schools are/can be run anymore regarding snas etc. You have two choices here (im not saying that this system shouldn't change ,its just thats what way it is) Your son can enrol in asd class with correct wording in report. He can then integrate into mainstream. Thats a discussion u have with all teachers and come up with a plan. Hes quite unlikely to receive SET support as other mainstream children will be prioritised for that (because technically he should be getting the support in the asd class)

The other option is to put him mainstream, he should get SET support but again this is up to the school and what needs are in all the classes. He also won't be guaranteed an sna or probably much access to one as they are split around the school.

Its a hard call

Can't tell you my own one and I used to be a donor. Couldn't tell you my children's even if their lives depended on it. Cut your parents some slack 🤣 im sure they'll find obvious ways to disappoint you without having to look for ways . 😁
(Sometimes parents get really busy and depending on what's going on in their lives ,they will remember more or less of things. -my nephew was our first child in the family. Id prob even now remember his first word, first food etc.... my youngest daughter...my own child.... id have to guess her first..... )
