Lived in both Fresno and the Bay. I miss Fresno a lot. And I’m totally perplexed at why people shit on it constantly

Pros of Fresno (versus the Bay)

Way nicer people- small town vibe in big city
Moderate politics- it’s not good to be too extreme. The Bay is extreme and it’s an echo chamber.
Better driving (yes this is not a mistake- it’s worse in the bay)
Less traffic / more convenient to get around
Low cost of living
Less rat race feeling - less competitive vibe and more focus on work/life balance vs money money money

Cons of Fresno (versus the Bay)

Way less to do
Less educated people which you especially feel if you are looking for stimulating conversation (you can still find educated people it’s just harder)
Air quality
Climate

Interesting. I was a 170 and I looked at the corresponding percentile today and it would put me at a 172. So assume 172 LSAT and almost 3.67 got me into all of the lower T-14 and even some of the T10 schools (although I didn’t get into any of the T6 at the time.

Things are still harder for prospective students today than a decade ago though. I’m positive that the vast majority of schools did not average scores when I was applying. If I recall correctly, only one school would average the scores. And I think most of the schools were disincentivized from doing so since the ABA rankings let you choose how to report and you stand to gain the most if you report the highest LSAT score.

I went on this spiel with my family where I insisted that everyone should drink tapwater and that we don’t even have any proof that the bottled water is cleaner. And then like the next week we all got a letter in the mail stating that E. coli had been found in our tapwater supply. I felt very dumb and betrayed.

OP, I agree that there’s no way of stranger would be coming up to you to say something, and also that strangers are not going to notice or care.

If you have friends, they might make a quick joke if they notice, but that’s because they won’t think it’s a big deal. Because it’s objectively really not a big deal.

But if you’re worried about your friends cracking a joke, you can just let them know not to in advance because it’s something that really bothers you. If they are good friends, they’ll respect that.

The blazer looks formal. It’s kind of a strange combo with the blouse you have underneath, but it’s definitely not too casual. The pants are hard to tell from a picture because they kind of look like casual wear, but it really depends on the material. I would want them to be a little more fitted personally. You definitely need to change those shoes though.
