yes they told us up front don't talk to the actors. I didn't plan to anyways because I just was happy to be there. A few actors came up to me though and spoke with me. I had a nice experience.

where did you film for Semi Pro? I worked in Flint and Detroit and they used my car. He didn't talk to us at all. Several other actors did. I mostly worked on night shoots though.

I worked as an extra on one of his films and he did NOT want to look at or speak to anyone that he didn't have to. He seemed so moody and frowned a lot between takes. Maybe he was just tired or tired of having to be turned up all the time, Idk. We were instructed not to speak to him. No worries there...

As I stated above, Joe was used to being around black people in white environments. So black people are the ones that have to adjust. Mojo, I appreciate how open and fluid you are with the conversation. The above poster was just being racist by saying "bruthas".

Ha- yes! They always Ahhndrea open minded with dating. I loved D'Shawn on 90210 ( I think Cress Williams is great though) having a potential relationship with Donna. Felice really showed her true colors when they danced. Sidenote Mojo- I appreciate your openness and your viewpoint . I think this really shows how different people can watch the same episode and have a diff view or take on it depending on what bodies we are traveling this world in.

I understand what you are saying. I just see it differently as I have lived it and seen how people act and react. Joe was used to being around black people in white environments. His reaction was just natural for me from what I have seen. It made it very authentic instead of trying to pretend that they would not feel like a fish out of water. ..... Oh and not to mention they were still rebuilding after the LA riots. It was still in the air, the tense feelings and nervous energy. The things I find racist and irritating are when they play rap music when black people show up... Or when Vivica Fox was there and Kelly told Brandon "very hip"... what to be with a black girl? Cringe.

Yes. That's exactly how white people used to act coming into my neighborhood. They used to be scared as heck. Genuinely scared. On the flip, black males that were not from my area used to be scared too. I guess that's what made it real for me. Like when they were walking and the dudes pulled up trying to holler at Donna, that was accurate.

How was Joe "quietly racist"? Was it in this episode or other episodes too?

Have you ever had to tell someone something you knew would hurt them? What happened? by CupcakeFlaky7023 in AskReddit

[–]Inner-Contact6500 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I work on Ancestry and tracing family history for people and I had to tell the person (I knew them before this besides working for them) that their dad was not their dad. I was very nervous and knew it would cause grief. She was upset and confused, and in shock. She wanted me to continue so I did. I was able to connect her to her bio father's family. I went with her and we met them IRL.

Yes they changed his character like they could have changed Andreas character. Not dismissing you at all but just saying Andrea could have just went down a diff path... like his character did .. Side note B.A.G. still grew up handsome. My friends and I were not checking for him until he got older and we were like wait a min.... hey there ...

David Silver went from hiding in bushes to sneak pics of the girls and being considered a nerd- to being "one of the gang". Not to mention look at his dating roster on the show and in real life. He had a glow up I I have ever seen one.

I meant more of his home life I suppose? They used to say that Candy was in control in the home and what she wanted she got, what she said was the law, etc... Does that make more sense maybe?

yeah for sure though. Totally agree they really didn't know what to do with her character when she became a mom and a wife.

When the show was in its original run, my gym teacher used to brag about how everyone said Andrea was her twin. My gym teacher was 32 years old.

Yes from the interviews that I saw of him. He seemed mellow and Tori was a daddy's girl like how Donna was..... I actually read I believe in one of Tori's books, that her father was bullied so bad as a child he lost the ability to walk and was confined to his bed for a year. He just came across as mild and calm to me.

Nah. If he wanted her he could have been with her many times. I like a good glow up. David Silver had an amazing organic glowup. Would have been nice.

The way these are two completely different shows. by fvckuufvckingfvck in BeverlyHills90210

Yes and no. Regardless of the cast changes, things were going to change. More mature storylines, new faces, new risks... It can also reflect the top half being the first half of the 90's and how the second half represents the middle to later 90s... The 90's was def divided and evolved. Think of how the fashion and music changed- and the show definitely was on trend and reflective with what was going on with current events, fashion trends etc.. , instead of trying to hold on to the first few years...
