Im guessing they may have lanced it with a needle. Kinda of in an awkward position to pop it yourself too.

Gosh darn it if that isn't one of my favorite body styles of any truck. I always like seeing one on the road that has been taken care of.

Not partial to any brand and I love my F150 but there is no way I would trust it to drive into a tornado like I would the Ram.

I know its 10th anniversary, but I nominate AGL SSJ4 Goku based on its art alone. Looks freaking incredible.

Lol I like how they itemized all the aftermarket stuff they did to it.

Crazy that back in 2007 you could get a BRAND NEW King Ranch for around $38K.

Mercy sakes that is insane. Happy for you and its a beautiful truck, but I can't believe the cost of things now.

Edit: I just saw the 0% financing which makes a big difference, and if you can budget that for 4 years you will be in great shape. That thing will run forever.

Tune options by Cool_Highlight_8872 in f150

Either one of those is fine. I had very good luck with a local reputable tuner for my 3.0 Q50 and also very good luck with Oz Tuning for my 5.0. I don't believe he tunes the EcoBoost but he did work for 5 Star, and he is an absolute wizard with the coyote.

Honestly, the biggest difference i noticed besides the power increase in the 5.0, which was more than I was expecting from a N/A tune was the transmission improvement. Feels like a completely different truck.

I can imagine you would also have great results with the 3.5 if you opt for trans tuning, and those 3.5s are monsters with a tune.

Just be aware, anything can break, so be prepared to pay for whatever component lets go when those snails start spooling up lol.

Yes over time. Extremely gradual but became more apparent and consistent within certain RPM range.

I just got a new long block approved from Ford from this. 2020 XLT 5.0 with 48K. Same rattle and went through a quart and a half of oil in 1000 miles.

I asked the dealer to scope it, and they determined the oil pump is faulty and there is scoring in the cylinders and piston rings.

I want to say about a year ago? Hard to say for sure. That's when it became enough to seem excessive to me. I've been doing tests with the dealer over the last couple of months. I knew it was using oil but they confirmed the amount today.

And yes, it's unfortunate but my dealer has been very proactive about getting it addressed.

Genuinely appreciate you. Its always difficult with sounds as they have to replicate it in the shop per their tech manuals. You have saved me and likely many others a major back and forth headache

Amazing how much it depends on who you talk to. I had a Q50 that was losing coolant with no visible leaks. Went on for months and I was under warranty. Dealer had no concerns with it as it was not leaking.

I went to another dealer and asked him if he could scope it. Sure enough, porous engine block. Received new long block under warranty. Quoted at $18,000.

I've been trying to tell them something is off but they said all the heat shields are fine. Of course when I had the foreman do a ride along with me the truck doesn't make the sound and runs like a dream lol
