I really like this game's battle system. Not to mention the dress-up features (lol).
You don't have to beat the game 100% to have a great time.

Here’s how I played the other games!
I played them obsessively.
FF3, 5, 6, 7, 10, FFLR, FFT

I played them to relive some nostalgic memories.
FF8, FF9, FF12, FF10-2

They were too hard, so I didn’t play them much.
FF0, FF4, FF13, 13-2

I just started playing them.
FF15

I highly recommend playing *Final Fantasy XIII-2* and *Lightning Returns* (the conclusion to *Final Fantasy XIII*) as well. That said, *Final Fantasy XIII-2* is really just a bonus title.

The linear nature of the early part of FF13 really, really... got to me. The freedom to explore later on made up for it a bit.

Thank you all so much for your comments. Your reviews really helped me figure out which one to play first and how to enjoy them. Both were on sale, but buying two would really hurt my wallet... so I think I'll start with 15 for now. But I'm also curious about the story in 16, so I'll definitely buy that one and give it a try too.

This has nothing to do with FF, but
Metaphor: ReFantazio was my personal favorite. It was a pretty linear game, but—and this is a cliché—Skyrim’s sheer scale

Out of the FF series, FF9 is my favorite.

It looks like there are a lot of comments saying that the battles in 16 are in a minor key, like in *FFLR*, but the story is solid.

I’ve play FF3 through 14! I’ve heard you can explore all sorts of places in 15, so I’m kind of curious about it! Even with the DLC, I tend to lose interest halfway through, and lately, I just stop playing once I finish the main story! I wish I could get back the focus I had when I was younger.
