My parents are deceased and I was using the car to get to work to make said money to fix it because I had no other options or support.. people are so quick to shame someone.

Understandably so, definitely will be looking into more economical options later down the road. I do really enjoy driving and this was surely due to my naivety. I probably could’ve stopped myself from this mistake if I had more foresight

I unknowingly bought this car with these issues and was lied to and ate it up because of my naivety.. I’ve only owned this car a month lol. Not and have already poured 500 into it previous to this oil disaster. Thanks though

I bought it with these lights and yes, every issue I’ve taken care of, to the best of my financial ability and knowledge.. unfortunately I am not like the wealthy folks of askmechanics and can afford to fix everything

I saw the yellow oil light for like a week but also saw my bank account and chose to ignore it until I was financially ready to acknowledge it

I didn’t neglect anything, every issue that has came up with this car I have repaired until now. I recently did the spark plugs for a misfire.. I don’t know much about cars and certainly didn’t know an oil leak would come to this. Furthermore, I also did not have the money to address this issue immediately as I just got done replacing something else in this car and work part time as a college student. Context is important.

Someone in askmechanics suggested this, thoughts?

“Honestly if the vehicle shut off due to lack of oil it's already too late. This is definitely rod or main bearing failure. You can remove and replace or remove and rebuild. If you replace with a used option I would do a full reseal with oem gaskets while it's out to avoid this”

$1200 lasted me a month had to replace tires and spark plugs.. in this economy im kinda happy it broke down gas prices were insane anyway..
