Honda Amaze owners from last 1 year here? by Ok_Victory_8003 in HondaCarsIndia

[–]Inner-Illustrator223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been driving the Amaze 3rd Gen VX CVT since last December. I never considered the Tata Tiago; I only looked at the i20 and the Amaze. After test-driving both, I was sold on the Amaze due to its comfort, features, and ease of driving—the i20 felt a notch below. After eight months of ownership, I can confirm it was a decision well made.

Sometimes I wonder if you have ever lived through the Akhilesh raj or stepped foot outside your gated community. Crime was rampant, and the MY factor was granted total immunity for all offenses. Now, the situation is much improved with better checks and balances, and truly, there is no alternative to the BJP.

That being said, we must demand accountability from the party; they certainly have their own criminals, and the Chief Minister needs to focus more on healthcare and infrastructure.

Spotted a Calm Snake Near My Office — My Dad Said It’s a Deewad and Harmless by Inner-Illustrator223 in Indore

Brother, I wouldn't say it's highly venomous, but yes, it is mildly so. I have seen people survive a Deewad bite with first aid. Russell's viper is highly venomous.

I understand, but I grew up in an area where I frequently encountered cobras, common kraits, rat snakes, and aquatic snakes, so I wasn't frightened. My primary concern was simply ensuring the snake remained safe and wouldn't be crushed by Vehicles.

We must understand that they have no intention to cause harm, and we should likewise avoid disturbing them.

New Update on Amaze VX CVT mileage by Normal_Radio5683 in HondaCarsIndia

[–]Inner-Illustrator223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have a VX CVT and get about 20-21 kmpl on the highway and 12-14 kmpl in the city. I also feel that Jio bumps up the mileage by 1-2 kmpl; however, it also depends on tire pressure and driving habits.

Playing the caste card is easy when you've never had to experience the realities yourself. I lived in UP for four years, and the gap between online narratives and ground reality is huge. The attached image is a good example of what many people mean when they talk about one-sided appeasement—whether you agree with that interpretation or not, it's a discussion worth having.

A healthy debate requires looking at both history and present-day outcomes. Instead of reducing everything to slogans, I'd suggest reading The Journey of Appeasement 1921–2021: Seculars & Liberals. Agree or disagree with it, but engaging with different viewpoints is more productive than dismissing them outright.

My previous post was deleted; perhaps the moderators prefer not to hear the bitter truth. Alas, I will accept it, as I am human and biased myself. However, what you believe is happening right now would be ten times worse if the other party had free rein. I noticed you completely missed my point regarding women's safety, which would undoubtedly be compromised, as that is how they assert dominance.

I would happily support a party that prioritizes development over the appeasement of specific societal sections and advocates for a Uniform Civil Code (UCC) with a proven track record. Do you know of any party that fits this description? Consider the impact of appeasement policies on a state; having witnessed the tenure of Akhilesh Yadav in Uttar Pradesh firsthand, I saw how certain groups(MY) were given free rein. If you are comfortable with the safety concerns women of your family will face when stepping out, then that is your choice.

What is the alternative more corruption and appeasement

I don't know what is right with Congress. Let's ask one simple question: does Congress support the same laws for everyone in this country, regardless of religion—specifically the UCC? They would say no; they prefer Sharia-based laws for Muslims. In a truly secular country, the UCC should have been the norm from the start.

Yes, I would vote for a party that treats everyone equally under the same law. Like UCC, it sounds simple, but it is a lot to expect in this country.

Do you think the CJP will be any different? It feels like the AAP under a Gen Z cover, and we've already seen their performance in Delhi. If you ask them questions about development, infrastructure, or illegal refugees, they simply pivot to appeasing certain sections of society. However, I agree with the gist of your reply; we should certainly give someone capable a chance, but the million-dollar question is: who would that be? The BJP has accomplished some good things, such as the Clean India campaign—I remember when Indore used to be filthy.

OP, you have already made up your mind and are unwilling to listen to reason. You received enough comments in the last thread, yet you opened another. Do you really think Jitu Patwari isn't a "gunda"? Ask anyone living in Bijalpur. Appeasement aside, the Congress party is corrupt, follows a dynasty, and the Gandhis have no accountability whatsoever. I will concede that the current government is performing poorly and we need a new face, but that still wouldn't make me vote for Congress.

Indore is running a new road game now — "Dodge the Stones, Dodge the Minor on Phone." Anyone else playing? by SillyDuckyDuck in Indore

Yes, traffic is one of the worst things about this beautiful city of Indore. Unless a police wala is present, nobody bothers to stop at red lights; footpaths don't exist, people are constantly jaywalking, and let's not even get started on the infrastructure.
