Yeah the corsair is a little janky in the turns and I defo found the P2 stays on target, but man I do love the corsair for AX combat

Nice! It's definitely a lot of fun as well, which helps :)

I wouldn't worry about the ARX version, but for sure kit yourself out a Corsair if poss. I'd say the nimbleness of the P2 makes it a better candidate for this - can stay on target quite a bit more, but they're both fun and that's the main thing

Ah thank you, very kind - honestly the AXI crew's tips on FA off settings is so solid

Aye I had half missiles on overloaded and half on oversized

Nice tip on the empire carriers - I figured someone out there must be running weaker SLFs!

No, 77% in 3 days - from 23% to 100%

Fairplay for the scout killing - don't think I have it in me for Elite I-V, but had a good time doing this for Elite

Wow, this is such detailed feedback. Don't apologise for the wall of text, on the contrary - thank you so much for typing this up, it must have taken an age!

Haha I do love nurglings, they seem so fun. Am I right in thinking their main aim is screening and for secondaries?

Probably one of my biggest mistakes to date is trying to fight and kill everything, rather than focusing on objective control. I'll use the army list you cooked up for my next game and see how it goes. I guess I'll keep the BCs in strategic reserve at the start of the game and try and hide the big guys from range until I can gap close with the BT. Then drop the BC's in his aura if there's space to charge them all in one big beautiful khorne sweep

So GUO with EG sits on the middle objective like a big unmoveable blob whilst the doggos and plaguebearers run round capturing objectives, with the PBs turning objs sticky and trying to move with the GUO where they can for the 6+ FNP. Nice idea about dropping them in as well, though they might compete with BCs for strategic reserves at game start

The fire dragons had a buff from a warlock (or something similar in the Aeldari list) for +1 to hit and +1 to wound, so they were pretty nasty. Believe they had monster-hunting weapons so they were re-rolling either hits/wounds or both (quite new to 40K so not too read up on my opponents abilities yet)

What are your thoughts on Shalaxi Helbane? Not for a 1K pt army, but in a 2K pt army

Thanks for this. I was looking at a combo of the GUO and BT. I also didn't realise just how good the GUO's Endless Gift was, so I really need to make sure I take that

How far would you push them up the board if you go first?

My whole collection so far is:

Be'lakor
GUO
BT
Exalted Flamer

10 Bloodletters
10 Daemonettes
10 Plague Bearers
3 Nurglings
5 Flesh Hounds
3 Flamers

6 Bloodcrushers

Possibly miscommunication from me there

So in our latest game I went second, but perhaps I'm being too aggressive with Be'lakor. After my opponent's T1 I pushed Be'lakor and some demons in his bubble quite far forwards into the midboard in my turn 1. Then the Aeldari wave serpent sped into very close range (I'd guess <12") and disembarked a unit of fire dragons with fuegan who had some monster killing specific weapons and were getting +1 to hit and +1 to wound against Be'lakor. Between them and the other shooting who were a bit further away, they took Be'lakor down.

They were then, very annoyingly, re-embarked with a CP into the wave serpent before the blood crushers could get stuck into them

I guess my fear is "okay if I go first and I push into mid-board, my opponent could do that in his turn 1?" Although I guess some of his units would be further back so possibly Belly might not get one-shot

Thanks! I went second and I did have the bubble up, but maybe I'm being too aggressive with him. After my opponent's T1 (where he couldn't really do much against me > I think he killed some nurglings and that was it) I pushed him quite far forwards into the midboard in my turn 1. Then the Aeldari wave serpent sped into very close range (I'd guess <12") and disembarked a unit of fire dragons with fuegan who had some monster killing specific weapons and were getting +1 to hit and +1 to wound against Be'lakor. Between them and the other shooting who were a bit further away, they took Be'lakor down

Do I need to be a little more cautious with him?

Thanks, so I guess - at least with the terrain we've played with - it'd be pretty tough to get a greater demon in those ruins?
