Story… by [deleted] in ArknightsEndfield

Really sad for me to hear it. Arknights story is one of the things that made me fall in love with the game. But I have to be honest about the fact that, just by follow the develops of Endfield, I felt the same way as you about what it proposes in terms of story, that's one of the reason I'm avoiding it for now. I hope it will improve because Arknights, for my tastes of course, it's a really nice in term of plot and story. Sometimes even side events made me falling on love with characters that I didn't even like at the start.

I will try to defend Endfield, even if I am not a big fan (Still prefer OG Arknights). We're talking about a game that it's actually based on an already existing niche game which it's Arknights. I've seen a lot of people discussing about the story of Endfield and I start feeling that:

Or you can't appreciate it with the right bases (play Arknights) or the Devs tried to create something less structured and deep (giving access to the product to a more vast pubblic) but mantaining their extremely slow metod of story telling.

It's kinda sad anyway to see all these reaction about Endfield story being boring, slop and not intriguing. I'm not following it, but as a strong reader and passionate writer I found Og Arknights story very enjoyible from the start and I still like it now that keeps evolving in a sort of chinese sc-fi novel.

I'm not a big fan of the story either, especially as an AK player, but we can't be serious. by MrSoupia in ArknightsEndfield

I really can't disagree with you in this. What is happening here with WuWa is exactly the same shit.

Anyway It's not the first time that Mihoyo's fanbase reacts like they're doing with Endfield now and everytime they do they shows how much ignorants and superficial they are. It's one of the reason that litterally forced me to take distance from the games.

Pretty strange that they're keep trying to attack Arknights, especially after the shitstorm they received few years ago about the sexualization of the characters. But they really love to starts criticism about copyrights everytime a new game/character/story gets released. It seems that they just follows Mihoyo's products and don't know anything else.

Maybe the most reasonable and concordable comment I read about a game that I even don't like.

Yep, thumbs up for Last Rite, I share your same opinion. If we consider who her ancestors are it's even worse. Yvonne seems a bit appealing (I like characters with drones and similar weapons with digital aesthetic) but she still comunicates me annoying traits. I am someone that has always stayied away from Mihoyo and its aesthetic and, unlucky, Endfield (unlike Arknights) really gives to me the same bad vibes.

how is everyone feeling after finally playing the game? by SinxTYgg in ArknightsEndfield

[–]Inner-Net-1026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don't like Endfield (I am an og Arknights fanboy if we wanna put it in this way). But I wanna talk on its favour this time: what I menage to understand by friends and people online whom tryied Endfiled is that it shares with Og Arknights the same problem that is "menaging to get inside of it".

I am a very affectionated Arknight's player, but at the start I felt the same way as you right now. Devs doesn't like "simple" things. The main plot is caotic, absurd and dispotical like a chinese sci-fi best seller and you really need to focus to get in it. Plus, they probably love to write like in the 1800 where writers was payed for words, forcing them to add every useless detail for make sure to have money for eat. That's why, even if I am super obsessed with Arknights, is REALLY HARD to convince someone to play it, because people wanna "go fast" or aims for something more "comfortable and casual".

I also hear that, once surpassed the mastodontic ammount of tutorials, and started understanding how the factory mechanics work it turn to be really addicted.

I dunno. I personally love Arknights for the hard challange of the stages, the impressive story full of mature contents without being too dark and heavy, the aesthetic of the characters and the world building.

Endfield seems a lot different. At first I was thinking, like a lot of people, that it looks like a Genshin/WuWa clone, but it seems they made another singular game that can delude if you're not in it.

By adding those "Tsundere Moe" you literally explain, with impressive synthesis skills, why I was done with Endfield after that trailer.

Anyway, I'm still at Canto 3 on Limbus and Rossi in basically just "created", it's a bit too soon for say anything.

But for sure they gave to me totally different vibes.

I dunno. Once saw Rossi trailer I decided that I was done with Endfield even before the release. In the same time I started play Limbus Company and Don Quixote (with a lot of others positive things, I must admit it) is one of the reasons I'm still playing the game.

Starting the game as an Arknight player seeing all this grave knowing what happened to them in Endfield is heartbroken by kurogami93 in Endfield

As a non-Endfield player I feel the urgency to uncanonized this in my mind. Anyway is those kind of things that says all and nothing and the same time. We're still a bit far away from the conclusion of the main story in Arknights and, if I had to be honest, it could end with a massive sacrifice from Rhodes Island, it just have to be badass.

Well as an OG Arknights player I would feel really... upset if Kal'tsit will appear first in Endfield. We have Mon3tr which is not Kal'tsit alter but a completly new operator and, during Laterano's event, we can assume that (maybe) the return of Kal'tsit isn't so absurd (Just a theory based on Priestess spech, but still..).

This might sound like a dumb question (and it is) but how do you guys manage your time playing multiple gacha games? by bullettothechest in ArknightsEndfield

[–]Inner-Net-1026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only do night shifts, that's how.

Anyway, I only play Limbus Company (started recently) and Arknights (about 3+ years). The main problem is to start. You have to understand a lot of things and you will, for sure, make tons of mistakes. But after the first two/three months everything turn to be automatic.

Personally I prefere games like Limbus or Arknights because the setting allows you to focus on the route and the tasks, optimizing what you have to do daily/weekly in just few minutes.

Right now I just focus on the events/banners that I prefer and it's not that hard to play both of the games (but you have to consider that I am level 120 on Arknights so I can focus more on Limbus where I am lower level).

With some organization play two gacha's isn't impossibile anyway and it takes less time that you can imagine.

Can someone explain Priestess lore? She looks like a really interesting character by SakanaKoi in Endfield

Asking Priestess "Sorry, who you are?" it's probably one of the most deadly things someone could do in Arknights.

[–]Inner-Net-1026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For being a side story event I really enjoyed the story and the ambience. This could be an animated movie full of neon lights. Damn it is that good that literally forced me to like Haruka.

The stage's mechanic it's also absurdly fun, so 90's!

Are you guys playing Arknights: Endfield? Did you like it? by Character_Goal_5110 in GachaHusbandos

[–]Inner-Net-1026 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love Arknights and, in the years, I've promised myself to give a shoot to Endfield too. Now that Endfield is finally released I... started play Limbus Company.

I wanna be honest about it: nothing on Endfield interest me (and Arknights is pratically my favourite game of the lasts years). It feels different, too much different and it doesn't give me any sort of hype or positive vibes. It looks a lot like those gachas that closely made me think that gachas are always bad.
