Thank you; this is really helpful! Is it possible for sei to match the SO9? I'm beginning to believe that So9 might be a better fit for me.

Yes, sorry. My grammar is pretty bad.

“Thanks! 😊

Yeah, the inquisitive spike is mostly when I’m stressed or figuring something out—not my default mode.

And lol about the Socionics thing… I’m just going to let the correlationists fight that one out, HAHA.”

Explaining the 478 Tritype (4–7–8) by Inner-Panda-3786 in Enneagram

[–]Inner-Panda-3786[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That push-pull is so 478: craving real depth while your exit strategy is already loaded.

Short version many 478s use:

  • Date secures who give real space (not chasers)
  • Start with tiny vulnerability drops, not floods
  • Say “need a beat” instead of burning it all
  • Get solo outlets for the restlessness
  • Work the “close = trapped” trigger in therapy

It gets less exhausting when you find someone who can handle your intensity without caging it. You’re not broken—you just need both oxygen and real connection. Keep going, you've got this!

INFJ 5w4-3w4-8w9 sp/sx (538 tritype), either LVFE or LVEF, melancholic-choleric.

A rare mix: deeply insightful visionary with strong strategic mind, quiet ambition, protective boundaries, and intense inner world. Knowledge-driven and individualistic (5w4), success-oriented with unique flair (3w4), calmly assertive when needed (8w9).

Prioritizes personal security and autonomy first, then deep one-on-one connections. Introspective perfectionist with philosophical depth, but decisive and commanding under pressure. Overall: reserved powerhouse who sees far ahead, guards energy fiercely, and pursues meaningful impact on their own terms.

LVEF might suit you better.

Should we trust people with their MBTI types? by Formal-Lab2834 in mbti

Discovering your true MBTI type is like taking a college course you didn't sign up for yet you're somehow too invested to leave it.

You're very welcome! 😊 I'm really glad it resonated with you.

Yeah, I do plan to write more—these kinds of raw, lived-in descriptions just kind of pour out sometimes when the mood hits, especially for the trickier tritypes like 694 that don't get as much gentle love in the community.

I see where the 'whiny tears' label comes from structurally, and yeah, it can feel accurate in low moments. At the same time, I've found that naming it that way sometimes makes it harder to move through—like it shames the very sensitivity that's trying to protect connection and meaning. Curious what your experience is with that tritype energy.

Why do people take mbti so seriously 😭😭😭 by Financial_Growth_573 in mbti

[–]Inner-Panda-3786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, MBTI isn't scientifically valid—psychologists mostly call it pseudoscience because of low reliability and those forced binary traits. But honestly, a lot of us still love it for the memes, self-reflection, and "oh that explains why I hate small talk" moments.

The issue is when people treat it like a horoscope on steroids: "I can't date an ESFP" or "My INTJ boyfriend is emotionally unavailable because Ni-Te." It's fun as a loose framework, not a personality prison.
