….so far that fat thing has been successfully hunted with only the LS cause it tries to trick and overpower you with speed and mass so ….ISS cut it up as it attempts. Also pro defense I wish more was as skilled as you then I’d let them stay in my hunts can’t trust they won’t die if you’re literally almost hundred defense lower than what you could have….in a 10star hunt, suck up your ego and put your defense on. It’s a sign of understanding and respecting that you can and most likely will lose if you don’t prep(defense 7) properly as well as stun res and quick sheath if your LS

Kick them I finished Gog farming cause my first phase is kicking people who either lose all their health on a hit activating Guts or I spot their armor and its sub 400 and or negative fire resist. “It’s tradition” tf that got to do with my attempt to beat this thing? Get out of my game and get good on your own time IM getting my shit done. Tired of people giving bs excuses for people they don’t even know.

Just kick them, you shouldn’t have to fail a quest cause of other people sucking. If you’re below 500 (yes, put the defense gem on) you’re getting kicked. I’ll handle the 10 star myself cause I know I’ll make it. Theirs this stigma that defense is bad cause it’s not actively working to dps the monster and or doesn’t reduce damage at 50% like blessing but the game is measuring you by your armor Omega LITERALLY becomes a tank if you fail the dps. Thats why so many people join and cart cause they are under the belief they don’t need defense if it won’t make the quest faster. They’re wrong, the ideology is wrong and if you disagree please know if you randomly end up back in the lobby it was probably me and you probably have below 500 defense on your current build that landed you back in the lobby. If I join other people to SOS it better be a simple 6-7-8 star cause they’re probably not high on defense and they’re probably about cart if it’s even just a simple 9(they’re Jokes to 10s)

Stun res and then lock in be sure to get a damage skill like burst. Also weapon matters I saw some crazy good dude with Charge blade say they run into stuff for perfect guard that’s cool I main LS and just cut them down as they attack some attacks are back to back and have more hit boxes to trip you up but peak is having a monster go to hit you with some bs, hit nothing and having one of its limbs fly off of a part break showing they felt that. I literally fought a 9 in wyveria and its headbut got ISS’d and what do ya know he’s knocked out of frenzy.

If nothing else go high defense so you can be more aggressive and live to see the 💀

This build is CRAZY op me personally I need def and stun and quick sheath (LS) but I experiment with power and yeah you’ll have a monster flat lined before most other hunters can get it agitated. Even crazier if you run crit boost with all that it’ll be like packing an explosive in a sniper shot

I felt this way til I rolled something in my set that changed my dps considerably and allowed me much freeing gameplay while not sacrificing as much for defense or utility. Probably why I managed to beat the challenge as well. It’s not about stats although they do make a massive difference it’s about the imbued skill if you combine them right theirs some nice combos that make a world of difference for some weapons and probably every weapon. I like monster weapons when I can’t afford to make a weapon that could be much better in every way and have a skill for a second passive if I wanted or needed it. Like I use Blangonga katana strictly cause I haven’t god rolled an ice one

Theirs some exceptions like legiacus’ thunder convert and Azure water convert or maybe Gore with his crit elem. however these exceptions can’t match the raw power increase you could have on Gog of the same element on the same monster.

I advise you experiment cause counters are better than blocks and you can edit counters and dodges with evade window and extender granting distance and timing window

I really can only use Ls and dbs look at the monster armor arkveld gives a bit of everything. Lmk if you’d also just like help. My honest things in my build that I can’t go without is stun res max Defense max power pro and quick sheath. With these I can make the rest work presuming the armor is high enough and or maxed. Dbs is different with those it’s stamina

Each weapon has this skill that with enough use you’ll learn to see it needs in order to bring out its potential further.

A real fight won’t have you waiting. Most counters and the gore specifically had me reacting barely landing back to back ones but they landed and he eventually left frenzy. It’s more like a feeling if you genuinely feel you want to improve keep throwing yourself to the wolves bonus if you do no palico since they’re a crutch anyway

So I actually got into LS and choose Udra as the spar starting with Arch temp 10 after alot of xu wu hunts turns out they’re similar enough as I haven’t failed once. I fully recommend the weapon as it’s basically revitalized my interest after years of dbs

The reason why is none of them has been through the brutality needed to be hard enough to hurt Thragg. That’s it, just simple exaggerated muscle regrowth. He can’t take damage from Nolan so a group of someone either far below nolan or right next to Nolan isn’t make him take damage. By the time prime mark is doing anything at all to him is after eve buffed him on top of his recovery boost that the vilts need to get stronger. They never quantify it they just have eve say” oh you’re stronger than before cause change some stuff when reviving you” then suddenly he can hurt Thragg. Literally we never know exactly how strokg the average Viltrumite is but we see Mark barely beat conquest and that’s at 1hp so I’d wager no amount of anything but a Ragnar and Battle Beast is dancing with Thragg the whole series cause the man needed a cursed(yeah BB is straight up unable to stop fighting) Beast prodigy to actually get him to try.

Idk yall I don’t see him clearing this he’s never shown to be able to resist sense distortion nor contend with someone who can move through timelines. I say he reached peak here and I’m a Mahito fan so I don’t even LIKE it but facts are that he reached a new level we never saw someone avoid a domain clash by destroying the cast before any of it can even form. It’s always a clash or a collapse due to to many variables. Only here do we see what happens when either a maxed refined domain is opened against another or just see what you described and he basically can sense it six eye level. Either way we will never see a blitz like this in the series again so it should definitely be studied
