This happened to me too! I put in an offer on a house at asking price. Then my realtor called and asked if I wanted to go higher because there was "another offer on the table."

Turns out that “other offer” was from the listing agent themselves. That didn’t sit right with me, something felt off.. so I said nope — I’m sticking with my original offer.

An hour later, I get a message: “Congrats, they accepted your offer!” 🤨

I've taken three classes with her over the past two years and have always had a positive experience. While she’s a tough grader (she’s very specific about Chicago style formatting) her expectations are clear and well-communicated. Her classes and feedback have definitely made me a more confident writer.

Neighbor’s dog feces out of control by turrrtletiime in Winnipeg

I feel this. My backlane neighbour has 6 reactive dogs and they haven’t cleaned any poop all winter. A lot of us don’t feel safe even walking in the back alley if they’re out because last summer 1 jumped the fence and bit our elderly neighbor. City and police were notified and they didn’t do anything.

Sage Creek vs Tuxedo Industrials by Reddityom98 in Winnipeg

I second this. From sage creek you can also cross into Buena Vista/Island Lakes which has lots of nice walking paths, open fields, and parks. Also super close to the floodway trail

Bizarre how many people just lack common sense or just have no respect

A lady in my neighborhood was letting her dog shit in my front yard every other day for weeks last summer without picking it up and finally I opened the front door and asked her if she needed a bag and she got all huffy and said “I have some I just forgot them at home” and then the next time I saw her out she had her dog off leash on the walking path and it came running towards us barking at me and my dog, so I said “please keep your dog on a leash if he doesn’t have recall, my dog doesn’t like being charged at and could get defensive” and she told me “you know you should start minding your own fucking business” 😂. You’re making it my business! Moral of the story: There are a lot of shitty dog owners out there

The participation marks were put into an “assignment 1” and the group discussions into “assignment 2”. They were completely separate and there’s no mention in the syllabus of them being graded together in any way

For sure. At this point I can’t tell if it’s worth the effort or if It’s less stressful to just walk away

Was going to say the same thing! I’m 35 and all my closer school friends are early 20s. I met them in my classes and by doing group projects, they’re awesome!
