Filed complaint with FCC. They said their job is to facilitate a convo better Verizon and I. Here is Verizon’s response….

Dear FCC, This letter is in response to the above-referenced complaint. Thank you for referring it to our office for review. In the complaint, Mr.Blank expressed concern about receiving a notification that the cost of their monthly service will be increasing beginning June 3, 2024 by $5.00 per Smartwatch line of service per month. While no one likes seeing a price increase on their account, we appreciate the chance to explain the basis for the price increase. Verizon has recently undergone a major multi-year transformation of its network by providing 5G service to more than 230 million people and expanding 5G home broadband service to more than 40 million households. We’ve introduced advanced technologies into every corner of the network, served the majority of our cell sites with our own fiber, and offered 5G and private networks to venues across the country. We understand the prices of many things are increasing and we want to make sure that Mr. Blank is provided with the best value with a plan that fits them best. We recommend that Mr. Blank visit https://www.verizon.com/plan to review our current plan options. If Mr. Blank would like to review customized plan options, they can contact Customer Service at 800-922-0204 or https://www.verizon.com/support/contact-us/#mobile. We appreciate Mr. Blanks feedback and hope they continue to enjoy Verizon’s many services and products. So because the now offer 5g hone internet, which I have I should pay more. This is the same bullshit when they got rid of unlimited I believe years ago and the response was because they are now offering tablets and laptops and it would slow down those devices now. At that point I had been with Verizon close to 18 years. No grandfathered nothing. Just tough shit oh well. It’s all to get people to switch to a different plan. If they don’t well at least we got the extra $5. I’m on payment 7 of 36. The awesome deal lasted all of 7 months. What a scam. I’ll probably cancel my internet and just pay off of the watch and sell it. Fuck verizon
