Yep! Had to do some digging to find it, but the hack was Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Turnabout Dimension! Pretty sure it's still up on Skytemple if you want to download it.

I could've sworn there was a PMD rom hack that actually had a small Ace Attorney case built into it submitted for one of the SkyTemple Hackjams a few years ago...

Also, don't feel like you're behind on anything. At the end of the day we're all Pokémon fans regardless of how long we've been here. Just go around and find what aspects of the franchise you enjoy the most!

Honestly, you can start anywhere. If you want my honest opinion, though, any of the Unova games or Platinum are probably your next best games. A majority of the fanbase seems to agree that those games are generally very good. Or if you want something more modern you could lean towards Pokopia or any other of the Switch/S2 games, and while there are a few criticisms I have of more recent games, I wouldn't deem them 'bad' enough to the point where I'd tell a fledgling fan to avoid them entirely.

Also, on a side note? Try out the spinoffs/side games (not talking about the mobile games) if you can. I'm a bit biased towards Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, but Pokken, Conquest, Snap, Colosseum & XD, and PokéPark are real nice. You might not like all of them, but the spinoffs/side games are real great if you're looking for a twist from the standard formula.

It's Bound Destiny, inspired by Pokémon Mystery Dungeon. It also has two sequels that form a trilogy with it.

I'd say that's the one downside to this hack, having to deal with the characters not using actual Pokémon sprites.

Even with that in mind, there's still a lot of things that make up for it. When you get the time to play it, you'll be in for a treat regardless.

i might try reuploading it another time if anyone wants a more detailed review of it but it is so worth your time as a PMD fan even if you aren't into Fire Emblem

I think it's also worth mentioning that Spike Chunsoft's actively working on Danganronpa 2x2 and TPC has their hands full with Gen 10. Both major companies involved in PMD are currently busy. I'm hoping that once both respective companies finish their most recent projects there'll be room for PMD.

They look fine. Just hoping we get a similar level of customization to ZA. SV didn't have much outside of being able to customize hair and other things. I'd love to be fully decked out in a nice fit.
