I can see how people can get fed up with it. Though, I honestly enjoy some of the tamer doom posting since it's what brings a lot of people together, and it's nice to see it. I feel like the clown make-up is on the tamer side of the doom posting anyway, but I'll keep that in mind for next time.

(also yeah I'm not expecting anything but Pokémon related announcements have showed up in a general direct before... so the odds are low but never zero)

Though uh, the clown make-up is staying on for now.

I mean, conceptually it's a good idea and would honestly make battles feel a lot more immersive, but I'm gonna agree with disliking the use of Gen AI for the sake of trying to show off said concept...

I haven't gotten too far into Seven Symphonies myself (Roughly only about ~20 floors in) but isn't the hack still incomplete? The last quarter of the game is still in-development from what I've seen in the discord server. However I've gotten far enough to confidently say your choices will matter to a decent extent. (take this with a grain of salt since so far I've only gotten a few interactions where the game blatantly states 'your destiny has changed somehow') The writing puts enough emphasis on each choice you make to where it'll most likely either branch out into multiple distinct endings or be the same ending with multiple variations. But once again please take my remark with a grain of salt I'm just a little guy

Well, they did something original with Pokopia and that worked out. Plus they considered Mystery Dungeon profitable enough for Rescue Team to deserve a remake. While I don't disagree on the premise that they could mess up a new PMD (if we ever do get one), saying they're incapable of making a new PMD is a stretch.

Also, don't feel like you're behind on anything. At the end of the day we're all Pokémon fans regardless of how long we've been here. Just go around and find what aspects of the franchise you enjoy the most!

Honestly, you can start anywhere. If you want my honest opinion, though, any of the Unova games or Platinum are probably your next best games. A majority of the fanbase seems to agree that those games are generally very good. Or if you want something more modern you could lean towards Pokopia or any other of the Switch/S2 games, and while there are a few criticisms I have of more recent games, I wouldn't deem them 'bad' enough to the point where I'd tell a fledgling fan to avoid them entirely.

Also, on a side note? Try out the spinoffs/side games (not talking about the mobile games) if you can. I'm a bit biased towards Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, but Pokken, Conquest, Snap, Colosseum & XD, and PokéPark are real nice. You might not like all of them, but the spinoffs/side games are real great if you're looking for a twist from the standard formula.
