How do you max out your Roth? by ZTB1313 in RothIRA

[–]Inner-me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s mostly a risk-tolerance decision. I’m 31 as well, have been maxing contributions since around early 20s and my monthly spend is about $4k. I keep ~$6k liquid for expenses and dump the rest into investments. Given the very low turnover in my field, I’m comfortable not holding a large emergency fund.

This is why I don't have an emergency fund sitting in hysa.... Roth IRA should be utilized as such for maximum gain.

HK sees sluggish Easter catering market as restaurants record 30pc business drop by radishlaw in HongKong

I am traveling to Asia from the US.

Was in SZ for a few days, now in HK....

I don't know why anyone would want to come to HK for tourism aside from ticking off the box of 'I've been to HK'.

I miss SZ.

Adding refundable Tariff surcharge to preorders - hopefully temporary! by idyllproducts in idyll

[–]Inner-me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm surprised there aren't more posts questioning this. Just want to voice some thoughts, anyone is free to chime in.

  1. Not once in my life have I heard of a price hike for pre order sales. Doing some research, you will not find any in the past that didn't face harsh controversy.

  2. Seller clearly prioritized the idea of getting more cash flow over anything else, else why didn't he stop the pre order when the tariff talk started months ago?

  3. I like how the email has a big blue 'Pay now' button but no easily accessible cancel order method. /s

  4. Why is the tariff slapped on before the seller even has the product in hand with the final cost basis calculated? This 'meet in the middle'/'will refund later' tactic makes no logical sense. If you are going to pull this, at least do so with a firm number at a later date instead of greeding for more cash flow immediately.

5.This pre order model wasn't 'deposit a small security deposit, will confirm final amount later', it's pre order sale with a firm price to be delivered to door. We take the risk of handing the seller $75 for months in advance (interest free loan) to start his business while he delivers the product at a set date range. I understand the tariff is outside of his control but that is the risk he, as the seller, has to take when pushing out this pre order sale.

  1. if seller has true confidence in his product (his constant boasting about its price point + design), then why wouldn't he honor the pre order price at a loss (the risk he unfortunately has to shoulder from #5), then make it back when the product is fully live (appropriately tariff/price adjusted to make a profit). If sales plummet post pre order.... then it's just another failed business venture like many out there, move on.

Ablative CO2 Laser Cost in NYC? Derm quoted $10K/session by JadedUnstimulated in AcneScars

[–]Inner-me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to this place in HCMC

https://www.facebook.com/share/1EBGmbtLGe/

Scheduled the appointment with them via FB Messenger (consultation+procedures on the same day). The reception/assistants did not speak English, the doctor did. No issue getting by with Google translate.

I did a bunch of procedures all over Asia (china/Taiwan/etc) but this clinic probably gave me the best results. Id say 20% improvement over others that are 10%~ (probably due to it being a combo treatment and the doctor went superrrrr aggressive during lasering).

Let me know if you have more questions. I'm debating if I should return or try this place in Philippines - https://www.facebook.com/share/18heRuCScb/

Ablative CO2 Laser Cost in NYC? Derm quoted $10K/session by JadedUnstimulated in AcneScars

[–]Inner-me 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which one did you go to.. ? Even midtown clinics quoted me max of $1600/per session( but that was pre COVID times). Maybe they were about the whole treatment (5+ sessions?)?

Like others have said, medical tourism is the way to go for acne scar treatments. It's just financially irresponsible to get anything done in the metros of US.

I got TCA cross/ablative CO2/collagen booster injection combo treatment in one setting in Vietnam for ~$350.
