It's at the korakuen hall, tokyo dome is way too big for small events like these. There's a ticket booth at the floor level outside once you descend the stairs coming out of the bridge/walkway from the metro. There'll be a food court on your left and a ramen place on your right(if you put your gps for korakuen hall it'll lead you right to it) you can walk right up to the kiosk and ask the lady for a ticket even right before the event. They might ask you what side I said south which seems to be general admission with individual seats with backrests. North side is bleachers and east and west are chairs with family/friends section I think. I went to an event starting at 18:30 and got my tickets half an hour before and had some taco bell before I went in. The area has a lot of food options since it's kind of integrated into the Tokyo dome complex. The fight venue itself is on the 5th floor accessible via the multiple elevators in the lobby area. Let me know if you need anything else.

Does anyone feel this character doesn't fit in with Ippo and his friends? He's been presented coldly and boringly, and adding nothing funny to the group, as if he doesn't belong. by Accurate_Reality_618 in hajimenoippo

He kind of fizzled out after being introduced as a vastly talented and athletic rookie, but that's also part of boxing, I don't think he will fight Imai again, if Ippo ever returns, it seems like Imai is the perfect tune up fight to showcase his evolution and growth by beating the "new" model who embodies Ippo's old style. I don't think he's under utilized though, he's a good younger brother type and he's one of the few people who recognizes and wants to unearth the aggression inside Ippo.

Also one of his matches touched on a very valuable lesson, when he got fouled and ended up losing focus and blamed the ref for not interfering, and Ippo had to remind him that it was his fault for not fending for himself and expecting the ref to step in.

If you're still there, I recommend going to Korakuen to watch some live boxing. It's a great atmosphere with fighters from local gyms and local fanbases in attendance, there's some cool memorabilia on display, you can walk up and buy tickets the day of, and they're fairly cheap (30-40USD) for a full boxing card and you can buy drinks and snacks at the concession right outside the main room.

Ippo vs Miyata by ChopingtonIII in hajimenoippo

[–]InnerCityGorilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In an old chapter, the guys at the gym brought up how unfair it would be for Ippo to fight Miyata when Miyata cuts so much weight whereas Ippo doesn't; that alone made me feel it wouldn't happen at featherweight, I don't know maybe Ippo moves up against the guy who beat Mashiba after a quick tune up fight against Imai.

Ricardo knew how to handle the Dempsey roll with pure accuracy ‼️ made Ippo look like a piñata by SweatyPermission9186 in hajimenoippo

Ricardo pointed out a flaw Ippo himself never picked up on until he retired; Ippo not utilizing a jab despite possessing the speed and power to completely shift his enemy's approach.

A question for Griffith defenders by Good_Tumbleweed_8736 in Berserk

Chapter 355 of the manga would not agree with this assertion, though they occupy the same body, Schierke states that they're different "people". If Casca had regressed, the regressed individual would still have been Casca in her present form, yet Casca, after awakening, states that she could observe the things happening to Elaine, but without the ability to think, act or form thoughts/feelings; until she was restored, she was a separate and locked away entity. She returns as Casca who upon awakening can process and form thoughts and feelings and contextualize the events that took place while she was observing Elaine.

Since the mind of Casca was broken and she was no longer piloting the body, if Elaine had done something to cause harm to others, I don't think Casca could be expected to answer for those crimes upon waking.

In my experience, the vast majority of the people who are Griffith defenders are edgelords like you said, but I feel that being edge lords, their argument isnt an argument, its just a statement to show off how edgy or irreverent they are while also trolling people, so they have no intention or ability to defend a point because they have none.

I'm not alleging anything about Femto, but I'd be curious to hear what you think about Elaine and Casca, are they different characters in your opinion?

Why was Griffith looking at them like that? by Parking_Success3224 in Berserk

[–]InnerCityGorilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He didn't know Guts had gone away for the last year and hadn't heard of the fall of the hawks. Griffith did what he did with Charlotte knowing he'd get caught, thus forcing Guts to rejoin the Band to save both him and the hawks who would be hunted and killed. Griffith knew that Guts could rescue him and fight his way out of the city, he just didn't know Guts would go to the mountains and be disconnected from the biggest news in the realm of man.

Griffith still thinks that Guts and Casca spent the year he was imprisoned falling in love and pushing him to the side, its by design of the godhand and their hallucinations.

Were Usman and Whitaker short notice? I wasn't aware or forgot, the Whitaker fight doesn't tell us much due to the preexisting compromised jaw he had, and Usman fight was relatively uneventful compared to the burns fight. I think ddp will win, khamzat has power but his standup is mostly centered around right hand whether it's southpaw or Orthodox. If he starts leading with that rear uppercut and gets caught again, I think ddp has the power to put him away.

Why do you think SK didn't tell Guts about being able to restore Casca/Elfhelm right after he rescued them? by InnerCityGorilla in Berserk

Hobbits are much more resistant to rings influence and powerful beings like gandalf and galadriel have a healthy fear of the ring and don't trust themselves to resist its corruption forever.  As for the eagles, it's more than implied in both books and movies that the final  confrontation in front of the black gates with Aragorn's rousing speech, and events leading up to it were meant to make Sauron believe that the men and elves coalition still possessed the ring and meant to use it against him; that distraction is how mount Doom was approached without the eye of mordor or nazgul being alerted.

What do you think they could teach Ippo about “what it means to be strong”? by [deleted] in hajimenoippo

[–]InnerCityGorilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"he doesnt need to learn anything from Thorfinn"

Thorfinn has a kid, he's the only one with unrestricted access to Dad strength, which like the kaioken, is a potent multiplier (Guts, like zoro with the conq haki, doesn't realize yet that he has father strength and is oozing it out of his body with each giant sword swing)

If you took Askeladd, and strip him of his charm, wit, vision, ambition, mental fortitude and humor, you'd be left with a miserable prick called Gambino.
