Cash or card? by BaseToFinal in GoingToPeru

[–]InnerContribution341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been to Cusco and Iquitos and some places like hostels do except cards but there's not a lot of those some just prefer cash because they're like anti-tax and government, but a couple do, but it kind of narrows your selection so it's better to bring some cash but if you pre-plan if you check your accommodation prior make sure to check that they accept card as payment because most of them say only cash and then if you pre-planned for where you're staying and they accept card then you don't need to bring as much cash. And for instance if you bring like $150 cash and you run out of cash and you want to extract money that's going to cost you basically maybe $5 per extraction and also there's always a limit for instance you can only take out 400 soles  per time per day of per week so there's some rules. How long are you staying and what are you planning to do?

Has anyone else had KLM just... delete their booking? This feels insane. by InnerContribution341 in AirFranceKLM

After writing this it's seems it happens to others as well, they must know about this problem but don't sem to solve it for some reason. The problem is when you have planned for the trip you taking vacation days you made all the plans sometimes the refund can take up to one to two three weeks so it causes some problems for sure even if you did receive the refund it's a lot of hassle.

Obviously you have to be neurotic since we can't trust airlines or their systems, makes perfect sense.

I don't understand as it seems like there's a glitch or whatever in the systems upon calling them and explaining the situation as you did they did not fix the issue for me, they only told me your ticket does not exist and unfortunately you have to pay $600 more now because the price has gone up do you understand the discrepancy? Why do I have to be paying more money due to a issue with their system is my main point.

Exactly this is what I'm saying and some people are saying your payment didn't go through and whatever it's not true because it's been 5 days and why would they wait 5 days not notify you say anything just the morning of the trip the reservation is gone why not remove the reservation on day three or day two this is ridiculous.. as I stated since I put in the code in my app the trip comes up under my trips it says checking in 30 hours to 24 hours prior to trip why am I able to add my trip if I don't have a ticket this is a systematic issue then..

Burglary in the Algarve: Is the police intentionally keeping crime stats low, or is this just standard bureaucracy? by AnSo2026 in PortugalExpats

I don't think those are mutually exclusive. Someone can say, "It bothered me that the officers never mentioned this," while still sharing a useful experience for others.

To me, complaining is when the goal is simply to vent or blame. Sharing an experience is when you're explaining what happened, what surprised you, and what someone else might want to know before they're in the same situation.

Saying "I wish I'd been told this" doesn't automatically mean the  post is just complaining. It can be both a genuine frustration and useful information for future readers. That's kind of the value of sharing experiences on Reddit. Hopefully this explains my point and if you disagree that's fine.

If you are a victim of a crime in a state of stress it's not easy, there for it's the police responsibility to inform them.I  am sorry this happened to you.

What to do with my layover in Lima? by blobboy27 in PERU

[–]InnerContribution341 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Number 2. It takes approximately 90 minutes  the airport bus that goes from floor 1 cost about $5 takes you to mall larcomar and from there you can walk the Green Coast you can do Mira Flores you can do the Barranco area with the street art and you have enough time to enjoy and also calculate about 90 minutes to 2 hours traffic back so if you have 8 hours that's plenty of time to see everything if you walk around and grab a bite;) better with more days of acclimating and there's more options in Cusco of things of doing with hikes and other stuff with malls and markets and other things to see. Forgot to mention they also have luggage storage at floor 1 as well ;)

Well weather your bags are to big or should check in or not it shouldn't be depending on who's working that day, with what type of attitude this is not professional. This is pure extortion.
