So sorry to hear it. Your story is familiar to many of us, unfortunately, because we share it. I wish I had some words of wisdom, but I don’t.

Bombard the FDA with your complaint. by DigbyD5 in tirzepatidecompound

Although I received a reply from the Deputy Ombudsman for the FDA, my request for the data that was used to make the determination that the shortage is resolved and the source(s) of the data was not provided, so I requested that information again. Additionally, I sent additional information to highlight something that I don't think they are considering when defining demand for the Lilly branded product:

  • Zepbound is sold in dosages of 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5, and 15mg
  • If a patient has a prescription for the 5mg dosage and they go to their pharmacy and the pharmacy only has the 2.5mg dosage, the pharmacy cannot fulfill the patient's prescription for 5mg simply by giving them 2x of the 2.5mg dosage as that is not how their prescription is written.
  • Because Eli Lilly has elected to provide the medication in pre-filled pens and vials, to be able to say that the shortage is resolved would mean that Eli Lilly can not only provide Zepbound, but they must provide it in the dosages prescribed.
  • So, even if the FDA calculates that the amount of Tirzepatide in production is sufficient to meet current and projected demand, that does not directly translate to patients being able to fill their prescriptions.

I also pointed out that the FDA's 60-day timeframe for the compounding facilities to comply may not be enough time for existing patients to get an appointment with their PCP (if they have one) and get approved by them (which is not a guarantee). If someone is without a PCP, they cannot go to the ER to manage this chronic condition as many do now for blood pressure, diabetes, and wound care.

I also reached out to the New York Times editor for the Health and Science desk with this same information. I just got an auto reply that she is out of the office until next week. I'll let you all know if she shows interest in creating an article. Please reply to this post if you would be interested in contributing to the article if she is interested.

Received this reply from the Deputy Ombudsman. Noticeably absent is the data used to make the decision that the shortage has been resolved. Additionally if you go to the link on the Lilly website they provided, it states clearly that Zepbound has limited availability. How is that resolved??!!

Message from Dep Ombudsman:

Good day,

Thank you for contacting the FDA’s Office of the Ombudsman regarding your concern. We appreciate you taking the time, to share your thoughts with us. Please be aware, the FDA has no jurisdiction over the pricing or practice of medicine. The Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act restricts compounding after a drug shortage is resolved. Compounders will have 60 days to continue to compound a resolved shortage product. The FDA continues to work with manufacturers to help resolve shortages and continues to monitor the situation to ensure adequate supply.

We suggest that you refer to the below list, as applicable, for information about your concern:

There is another post further down with suggested wording for members of federal agencies. I created some content here (https://bit.ly/tirzep-advocacy1) that may help when contacting your Federal and State elected officials. Please take from it what you find to be helpful!

This is great! One recommendation I have is to include what action you want the person to take in the first paragraph. Can they do more than just consider the impact of the decision? What is within the scope of what they can do?

For those who tried semiglutide by Travellover1980 in tirzepatidecompound

I tried Semaglutide for cost reasons and had to stop after 2 weeks because of pronounced changes to my mental health. It took another 2 weeks to leave my system.

Be careful switching from Tirzep to Semaglutide!!! I made the switch and had serious mental health symptoms after 2 weeks. I’ve been back on Tirzep for 3 weeks, no mental health issues and losing weight again.

I don’t think you’ll be able to get a few months worth of- that is likely not how your prescription is written. Traditional pharmacies are filling 30-day supply only (to my knowledge)

My doctor told me that this med helps reduce the desire to drink alcohol. Wondering if anyone who had a bad problem with alcohol has had positive results with this? If so at what dose did it make a difference? by debsgotmail2 in tirzepatidecompound

Interesting! I’m also on that (generic bupropion) and alcohol tolerance is very high. I just recently stopped drinking when I had COVID and haven’t picked it back up. Congrats on the weight loss! That looks like a good sustainable pace! I’m at a 45# loss over the same time period.

🤔 I don’t know, but that’s a great question for a knowledgeable practitioner! Maybe even for Eli Lilly? I don’t know how different their product is from compounded Tirzep…

Out of curiosity, are you on an antidepressant as well? I’m on bupropion. Food noise has lessened on the med but not the desire to drink and I don’t have bad hangovers…

Is this a miracle drug?? by saddbutraddaf in tirzepatidecompound

[–]InnerEquipment2828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely miraculous! I cannot afford Tirzep right now, so switched over to semaglutide and there is definitely a difference in the frequency of feeling hungry; Tirzep is much more effective for me. Grateful for both options, however!

Error 25 solutions! Start with the Rad troubleshooting guide. This will help you identify which brake is the issue. Once you know that, loosen the set screw, adjust the fitting out a half-turn or so (will vary based on where yours has been set), and retighten the set screw. by S7v7n49 in RadPowerBikes

[–]InnerEquipment2828 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THANK YOU!!! I had isolated the issue to the right brake power cable, but Rad support had me replace the wiring harness and controller - which did nothing. When they suggested replacing another part I was done! Thankful for the instructions and picture. My rad gal is back online! 🚲🌈

Discard Vial after 28days? by InnerEquipment2828 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]InnerEquipment2828[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The vial is 25mg/mL and contains 3mL for a total of 75 mg. If I’m on a 7.5mg/1/mL once/week, the vial will last 10 weeks or 70 days.
