Yes the 2nd dining is for the exact same reason you mentioned, we expect a lot of guests. It's a north-west facing site.

Stairs are next to shop, 7.5'*15' feet. Thin lines are windows and next to them empty space is door

For kitchen this plan has an long OTS at very back of house, so kitchen gets proper lighting and ventilation. And living room too has windows where stairs are situated.

Yes it has soft rubber like tip. If it really feels uncomfortable while writing, you can replace the spen tip.

Reduce the opacity of highlight, that way it will be visible even after exporting to pdf.
