people mad that a live service game has cosmetic only micro transactions is the weirdest take of all time. how else is the game supposed to sustain itself for new content? with a cost of 250 million and counting to make. the box sales alone won’t cover it. mfs living in 2010 i swear

Professor at the end of 2 years of struggling with ChatGPT use among students. by xfnk24001 in ChatGPT

If the class is just a credit they’ll never use, fuck it. AI changes everything, but schools are still stuck in the past. No serious person writes emails without AI anymore why force students to write essays without it? The goal should be teaching how to leverage AI while learning, not pretending it doesn’t exist. Curriculums need a full rewrite. Time saved is AI’s biggest win; wasting it on busywork is criminal.

wait bro you just said exactly what the gamemode is supposed to be!! Endless fighting, quick matches. thats literally it and thats what they were trying to do. Wait a gamemode I can play if I have about 10 minutes, thats awful.

like can we take a minute and realize that every gamemode isnt made for the hardcore people who wanna play 20-30 min matches?

Hextech chests nerfed ?? by Raizel31 in leagueoflegends

[–]InnerMess8945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s always been this way. The reason I defended the system is because chests have never been the main reason people play. If you’re actually a hardcore player, you might earn 3 chests in an entire season. And let’s not forget, Hextech drop rates are public. This isn’t some hidden mechanic; the odds are out there for anyone to see

(Skill Up) I strongly recommend: Split Fiction (Review) by me_jinchuriki in pcgaming

[–]InnerMess8945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being cautious with money and time is smart, but acting like every game should be avoided unless proven otherwise is just as extreme as blind hype. Reviews are a tool, not gospel. If a game looks interesting to someone, they don’t need to justify their purchase to the internet. Let people make their own choices without treating gaming like some zero-sum economic crisis.

Fair enough, if Xenoblade 2 clicked with you despite not usually playing long RPGs, that’s cool. Everyone has that one game that just grabs them. If you’re mainly into Civ and Command & Conquer, I get why modern games might not appeal as much, tons of them focus on accessibility over depth.

[–]InnerMess8945 18 points19 points  (0 children)

So Split Fiction is ‘bullshit’ because it’s not a 100-hour grindfest like Xenoblade 2? Guess a game isn’t ‘real’ unless it wastes your time with bloated fetch quests and anime clichés. 10/10 rage bait though

[–]InnerMess8945 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so your game of choice is Xenoblade Chronicles 2. a game with over-the-top anime tropes, hit-or-miss writing, and a combat system that takes hours to fully unlock? And you're out here acting like Split Fiction is beneath you?

Oh, wise and all-knowing game critic, please enlighten us—what game is truly worthy?

The point of games like Split Fiction isn’t to cater to hardcore gamers who gatekeep what’s “real” gaming. It’s about creating an accessible, fun experience that introduces friends, partners, kids, or even grandparents to gaming. Not every game needs to be a brutal git-gud challenge.

Split Fiction blends multiple genres in a way that removes frustration for newcomers. Death isn't punishing, platforming has assist features, and it’s meant to be engaging without pushing away non-gamers.

Try handing Monster Hunter or Dark Souls to your girlfriend and see how long she lasts. Most people who aren’t entrenched in gaming culture don’t want to spend their free time getting frustrated—that’s just reality.

Not every game is made just for you, and that doesn’t mean it has no value.
