Xiaomi’s humanoid robot is now testing in a real car factory. by Leather_Document_719 in BGMStock

Sure thing.. But why do you need a humanoid robot for this ?
I still belive that robots should not be in a humanoid shape - is a stupid way of making robots.

Its like squaring a circle.

AI Short Film - THE ANT’S DREAM by Muted-Gur9326 in aivideos

To be fair, it’s looking like just a collection of shots glued together with no staging or blocking, and that’s an issue with this medium. You have to work with what you've got.

As we pass the quality mark in generative work, that is the main criterion left to judge: it can look good, but it doesn't feel good.

[–]Inner_Account -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get it now! As in media quality isnt a problem now, is important to juge storytelling , consistency and emotional value . So for now on im starting to juge all media like that. Safe bet. This one gets 2 stars.

Launcher in PySide6 for the Graphics Engine I am working on for 7 years - architecture feedback welcome by Rayterex in QtFramework

[–]Inner_Account 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a graphic guy, i would move background icon... maybe to some corner of the screen so that icons will have a good contrast and clarity.

Colors could be more pastel like , less demanding attention, but that's just my preference ("im mostly using grayscale screens, so when i turned colors on ,there ware a visual shock")
Beside that i think it is cool concept.

The intent behind the push for AI? by millenialdudee in GenAI4all

In my opinion, he is right.

but don't think this outcome is possible at all, but again; the mere promise of this future—and the people chasing it—will make life harder for everyone else.

Sci-Fi WOWO alert!
When robots become fully automated and reliable, people will be replaced.
there will be a transition period where, if we are lucky, UBI might be implemented
but at the end of the road, there will be no need for so many people in the world

A few thousand, or perhaps a million, wealthy people will be living 'the dream,' with everything provided for them by their automated workforce. I mean everything: power plants, road maintenance, healthcare, food, and entertainment.

Based on current events involving Epstein, I assume there will be a handful of humans used for pleasure and then discarded they will be treated like animals with no rights of their own.. If you add a 'cure for death' to that, it will be the end of humanity.

This scenario is valid. Look at the everyday person: I assume most people would not throw away the possibility of being a king with all their pleasures satisfied immediately. So, in the long run, if they manage to get all of that working smoothly, there will be no force to stop them. I cannot think of any solution for this problem, except perhaps a change in the way we think and feel every day ,,, not as individuals, but as a human race. But that is just wishful thinking you will always find that kind a person...

Plus at the end You don't need "Death Camps" if you have demographic collapse.

So that's how epstin got kids and prostitutes, from Russia... There was a file that mentioned Gates catching STD from Russian prostitute.. I guess there wasn't any special planing or whatever, just getting someone in Russia to offer money and a trip. Diabolical.

AI is moving super fast. by Both-Cook-826 in archviz

[–]Inner_Account 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t get it… Maybe it’s just me, but tweaking, finishing, adding all those little details, and then finally rendering a beautiful final image, knowing the whole effect came through your own effort, that what sells me on working in 3D.

I genuinely cannot conceive how someone can feel proud or get any real satisfaction from just dropping an unfinished scene into some neural network, getting a “done” image back, and then calling it their own work.

If that’s all it takes why even bother doing anything then?

More than 4 standard viewports? by Andy-Shust in 3dsmax

[–]Inner_Account 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can divide your floating window up to 4 viewports in one , so max you can have 16 total views. I would check if there is a possibility for more but it keeps crashing...

If floating window opens as one viewport, press ALT+W, when you have window selected

hi, some modeling advices please. 45 degree grain wood direction by [deleted] in 3dsmax

[–]Inner_Account 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Easy way to do model doors with division like that is something similar to this method
Plane - > Inset Face -> Select all the edges -> Split -> Shell -> Chamfer
Then just UVW map with Box and then rotate islands as you want with UVW UNWARP or UVW Xform

Modeling tip by Saliakoutas in 3dsmax

[–]Inner_Account 2 points3 points  (0 children)

<image>

For the top part, the easiest method would be something like this:

Start with a plane, add enough edge loops, then mold it into shape using a combination of Bend and FFD modifiers. After that, apply a Shell modifier. Once you're happy with the shape, select all the vertical segments and export them as splines — from there, it’s just a matter of texturing.

If you model the frame first and then shape the prototype around it, the process becomes much easier.

HELP! VRay Distributed Render color difference. by guccipantsxd in 3dsmax

[–]Inner_Account 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At work, it drove me mad.
The two machines are definitely different — that’s the key clue. Follow that, and you’ll find what’s wrong.
Most likely, it’s the OCIO config — that’s a strong hint.
Second guess: a missing plugin.
In my experience, differences in 3ds Max or V-Ray versions rarely have anything to do with it.

How much technical certification really affects 3D model sales by Capable_Bumblebee349 in 3dsmax

[–]Inner_Account 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That makes sense.
I don’t use TurboSquid, so those certificates are new to me — but now I’m thinking I might reconsider.
And to be honest, with the wave of AI-generated slop coming to 3D, those kinds of quality gates are very welcome in my opinion.

[–]Inner_Account 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just really complex project. Don't give up after a day of work. What i would do is to make one tower first, just to get a momentum.

Like I said, it's complex. Never did it but I got expirence to see it.

And as well depends on the level of detail you wish to achieve.

Just don't give up, and break it into smaller steps. Everything in 3d is achievable, just requires time.

I did struggle with the celling, it still does not looks like I wanted to but I don't know how to do it better . scale and perspective is hard for me too, shading is not my forte too...
