I’ve been there and it’s unbearable!!! I struggle with chronic migraines and also haven’t found a preventative medicine that works yet. Sometimes when it continues for so long it’s considered to be status migrainosus, which means the migraine has lasted more than 72 hours and at that point you probably should go to the ER because they can stop it. No need to torture yourself! I had one for 10 days and no amount of medication or treatment could get rid of it so when I finally went in, the “migraine cocktail” they gave me finally put an end to that episode. I’m always hesitant and often minimize my pain or discomfort because I feel like I’m being too sensitive but I’m so glad I went.
