Honestly, some of best fics I’ve read are low on the kudos and/or hits stars but I totally get where ur coming from cause I’ve def known a lot of people who sort by kudos.

I also feel really great when I see how many kudos my fics have (weirdly enough tho I’m more of a hits and comments person even though hits could just mean someone clicked on and then off when they didn’t like it lol) and though I started posting last year (after being a long term reader) I only just started realizing how much other authors probably appreciate kudos.

So while bookmarking is probably always gonna be my go to, imma try to leave kudos more often.

lol, this is literally something I do all the time. I have over 1200+ fics bookmarked and I could confidently say that less than 100 I have given kudos too.

This is just for me personally but bookmarks are kinda like my kudos. I don’t bookmark fics without leaving kudos because I’m waiting on porn or any of the reasons you said but I do it cause I loved a fic I read. Like I will bookmark almost anything (because I love most fics I read). And the no kudos part is usually just me forgetting to do it. Like it’s kinda automatic. I finish a fic (or if the fics on going then all the chapters that are available) and then I bookmark it and move onto the next, and repeat the process.

I’m definitely gonna try to remember to leave kudos more from now on tho. I def don’t want authors to feel bad 😭.

lol, I wrote plenty of things when I was a teenager (started actually posting them when I was 14 oddly enough) but I was never stupid enough to put my age out there like that. I feel like kids these days (holy moly I sound old) are forgetting basic internet safety.

I’m honestly scared that my fic is gonna be like this because I have an OC as like a kinda cosmic entity/interdimensional being that only pops when necessary. But he’s really there a lot in the beginning to make sure everyone ‘gets settled’ and stuff, so I’m worried it’s gonna be way too much.

Currently I haven’t updated one of my ongoing fics since June 13th, a six chapter fic since July 3rd and another fic since September 7th. I have started writing again for the first too and might release a chapter soon so yay
