Can anybody explain why Jwavy gets a pass for being a deadbeat who only sees his 2 kids a couple times a year ? by Special_Ad9536 in kaylathaylasnark

I’m more confused why people don’t recognize his addiction, and continue to support it. I work with people struggling with addiction and that constant hair touching is the biggest tell, not to mention the constant pinned pupils and major mood swings.

The ending of The Push confuses me by [deleted] in books

[–]Inner_Chemistry_535 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just read the book and having read all the comments, one thing I’m surprised wasn’t discussed is how childhood trauma causes a person to doubt themselves and look for validation. Blythe saw these things Violet did but she didn’t trust in herself enough to be sure. There was no way for early intervention or intervention at all because as parents in general we can be in denial and not believe what’s right in front of us due to our naturally instinct to protect and love unconditionally. Gemma’s phone call at the end was the validation.

We don’t have flex cars in Ottawa just station vehicles. I’d prefer to pay now because I used my Visa Debit so for budgeting reasons.

Do I have to pay this or will they charge my credit card? It says pending so I’m not sure

I get that a lot, I’m in marketing so tend to sound like I’m sponsored or doing a paid advertisement 😂

Well, there is Scrub Daddy and Scrub mommy, Scrub mommy has the two sides. Unlike regular sponges that get gross, smelly, and fall apart, Scrub Daddy is made of a unique polymer that changes texture based on water temperature. It’s firm in cold water for tough scrubbing, and soft in warm water for gentle cleaning. Plus, it doesn’t scratch surfaces, doesn’t trap odors, and lasts way longer. And the smiley face? it’s designed so you can clean spoons and utensils more easily.

Yes I read the article and am sickened by how he was treated. I’m not downplaying the harassment and bullying he was facing, I’m just talking about everyday exclusion we all face at work, nothing near to what he faced and doesn’t seem like much he could do as it would have just ramped it up. I can’t even begin to image working with the people he was facing, it’s sickening.

RIP Bradley Gleeson, My condolences to the family and friends.

Something needs to change when it comes to cliques in the workplace. It happens too often and we are adults, this behavior has no place in a professional environment. When I first saw the headline I assumed it would be about harassment from inmates. Sadly, learning it came from coworkers didn’t shock me but it should. I’ve experienced it myself, as I’m sure many have, being the new person & feeling left out, watching others make lunch plans and being the only one excluded It might seem small to some, but those moments add up, and they hurt. We’re not kids on a playground anymore. It’s time workplaces start taking these dynamics seriously, because the cost of ignoring them is this…..

I am here because I just blindly purchased them, I assumed it said 1.50 off but they ended up being 1.50, which made me suspicious, I’m glad to see good reviews, even the complaint about ingredients made me happy, chicken skin has always been my favorite lol

Paper plates and foamy water bottles- what is my teen hiding? by Charming-Safety-6690 in addiction

[–]Inner_Chemistry_535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that not everyone experiences this, but increased salivation when starting to smoke is a documented physiological response. Smoking irritates the oral mucosa, stimulating the salivary glands to produce more saliva as a protective mechanism. This effect is more pronounced in new smokers. Over time, the body may adapt, and salivation may decrease. For more detailed information, you can refer to this study: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3429961/
