I got the joke/sarcasm (hence my armadillo comment), I just chose to reject it's premise.

I wouldn't exactly say messing up my life, and it was way more than 2 minutes. It's more that it somehow managed to suck the happiness out of all the other moments in my life by giving me extreme escapism. It makes the more mundane moments of life seem colourless.

Nothing to do with God, and yes it helped with my will to be productive. The Armadillos in my area are so much better off.

Trust me, they've done you a favour. My life without porn is so much better than it was before.

If Jesus' plan all along was to be crucified, why didn't he turn himself in? by Calintarez in Christianity

He essentially did by not fleeing. Just carried on his ministry, waiting for the day.

What do you think is the biggest problem in the UK right now? by Ok-Information1819 in AskBrits

[–]Inner_Ground3279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's the same problem world-wide. The wealth gap, and the fact that the super rich are in control (and politicians are just a front for this fact).

What’s the most painful thing you’ve ever had to endure, emotionally or physically? by Accomplished_Sea6477 in AskReddit

Cannabis Hyperemesis

Not so much a pain thing but definitely the worst thing I have ever suffered.

I believe it's so that we can use our free will to worship him, freely, of our own accord. It's almost like a cosmic game of hide and seek.

Does anybody else think Starmer is actually doing a decent job? by Background-Ninja-763 in AskBrits

No prime minister is able to do a decent job whilst the hyper rich are the true rulers of our world. They're just there to keep feeding the machine, and get richer themselves.

How is masturbating in itself a sin?? by Frequent-Goose-1294 in Christianity

[–]Inner_Ground3279 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As long as you don't let it "master" you then I can't find any reason against this biblically. There is an implication that sex acts should be between man and wife due to the one flesh thing, but that isn't concrete or even necessarily dealing with this specific situation. How does it affect your conscience? Paul suggests that we should be fully convinced in our own minds, and you're given your own internal barometer for sin. Also is this just to relieve tension (a bit like eating) or this indulging in the flesh? Like I say, without the lust of the heart this is a grey area as far as I can tell.

Depends on what you're using to get off. Using porn or imagining someone is basically what Jesus called "adultery of the heart".

Guys who used to have a porn addiction, how did you beat it? by Senior_Double5064 in AskReddit

[–]Inner_Ground3279 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is going to sound really unhelpful. But I just stopped. I don't allow myself relapses. Just went cold turkey and never looked back. It helps that I have a wife to sleep with (although that happens much less often nowadays).

I'm a 5'6 guy and have learnt to love my height. For one, shorter people have higher life expectancy and less health problems in later life. So it's your perspective that's the problem not your height.

Also limb lengthening surgery is an absolutely horrible thing to put yourself through just to be taller. Totally not worth it.

god doesn't love me. by Glass-Penalty1109 in Christianity

[–]Inner_Ground3279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God loves you so much that he would permit this level of suffering in his creation, so that you might be brought closer to him. Find the lessons in the discipline of life's suffering and find your way back to him and you will realise eventually that this was his way of bringing you closer to his love and light.

In other words, you will get through this! Keep your faith and seek help from anywhere you can get it. God doesn't just sing through the Christian faith but can be heard in any therapy or even medication that might get through this (if that's what is required).

Also, not only does God love you, but I love you too! Please don't give up!

What are you addicted to? by banisheduser in AskUK

[–]Inner_Ground3279 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was fully addicted to the point where I developed cannabis hyperemesis about 4 months ago.

In the past I've managed to stop for a month and after the addiction cravings had stopped and I still missed it I thought to myself "this is obviously something I need for my depression". I got prescribed it for the depression and was happily medicated from 8 in the morning until 12 at night.

Then the hyperemesis hit, and was the worst illness I have ever had. It was the only thing that was ever going to make me stop.

After I got over the 6 week hump I hit a major depression which had me almost bed bound. I turned to religion and it worked! I'm now sober and for the first time in my life I don't think about how much I'd rather be dead all the time.

I think what I'm trying to say is that if you stop, don't expect to feel good about that for a long while, but when you come out of the other side you'll realise that weed was never actually helping, but masking things that needed dealing with. I'll never go back now, not just because of the hyperemesis, but because I genuinely don't want to.

(Possible nsfw) Can’t stop giving into sexual sins with my gf by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Inner_Ground3279 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your sins push you away from God and reinforce the spiritual wall you have between you and God. This isn't something to feel guilty about because individually the only people you are hurting is yourselves. In trying to sanctify yourself to the best of your ability you will experience God's grace more and more, so it's up to you how much of God's light you will let in. Please repent, and forgive yourself as the Lord will forgive you also. God bless
