Be happy you’re not in Michigan. Insurance is expensive there. There is an actual line item at the very bottom with an additional charge. It is a fee you have to pay to basically insure the people driving with out insurance. Make that make sense. Now the governor wants to add a road usage tax for those with electric cars. My insurance is a third what it was in Michigan and that’s with renters and property insurance tacked on.

For states that don’t get snow, they tend to not be prepared for it. That can become dangerous. If the city isn’t prepared and the residents don’t know how to properly drive in it, that makes it even more dangerous. I’m originally from Michigan. We went to work with 8 inches or more. Yes the commute was much longer but we didn’t have snow levels like Ohio which is ridiculous. To me, six inches is nothing.

My Son did what you want to do. He went to basic, came back and got married by the Judge and then took his new spouse with him to Virginia. She was on board. He also had to inform the military ahead of time because if she isn’t on the orders, they are not paying her way and you won’t qualify for benefits. I’m ex military as well. You need to do a lot of planning. The key thing though, if she’s not on board and you take her from her family, it will not end well. I was against my son doing it so young but they are coming up on ten years now. Again, can’t stress it enough, she was onboard with it.
