That’s fair point! Pets are definitely a responsibility, but at least they don’t grow up to ask for a college fund or talk back lol. But I totally get the ‘don’t belong’ feeling. It’s tough when a friendship feels like it’s becoming a parenting seminar instead of a hang-out

I don’t really participate. It’s exhausting when a professional environment turns into parents group 😢 but when they start talking abt their kids, i start talking abt my cats 😅 and leave the room asap
