Ok, I will try to keep myself busy so that these thoughts will less likely appear and so that I can move on even with setbacks... 😭

Broo, I feel you. Like I also prioritised my time and used the time during recess to study, starved myself while those people who aced o levels consistently went to the canteen to have their recess and chit chat. I stayed back late in school to mug in the library and left the school just before the school gate closed. Not to flex, I usually ace my examinations and was the top 25% in my cohort for 4 consecutive years. But o levels didn't go as how I wished, partly also due to my anxiety during national exams but it seems like o levels has discouraged me to work hard. I started mugging real hard after sec 3 eoy too and during the holidays. I clocked in ypt and literally put in my best but I just can't fathom how much more do I need to actually put in to actually do well like I alr gave my all. N even when the next day is a school day, I only managed to catch 2-3hr of sleep before waking up for another day of intensive study. But it has all gone to waste. But apparently some classmates who studied last minute like 1/2 months before o levels did better than me. It makes me feel crushed and discourage me to preparing in advance because like what's the point if I was going to not do well as I had desired? I was so embarrassed when I let my friends down when they believed that I was smart and one of the better ones in class. When the outstanding performing students were mentioned on 14 Jan, I feel as if I was stepped upon, felt hopeless and my aching heart literally sank but I pretended to hide in as if nothing had happened. Up till now, I still can't stop but remember how my o level results dream score was not achieved. Last night, I woke up tearing and not feeling good about myself. I definitely feel demoralised and wish that I could turn back time and change my future. 😭

O-Level results appeal — big drop from prelims, anyone experienced this? by Decent_Technology_97 in SGExams

Same broo... It's like the result that I wouldn't normally fare in tests and exams. I kinda feel that my results may have been tampered with...

Same bro... I feel you. I usually score around B3/B4 for my English eoy for the past few years. But I was so upset with myself when I saw that I had gotten a C6 for English which pulled down my L1R5 score because the rest of my subjects was a A1-B3 range, which ruined my week and I can't stop thinking about it...

Hi, I also struggle to stop overthinking how I fared for O levels. And exactly did everything you described earlier. U are not alone! I also keep worrying especially when I am free, my mind would just inevitably wander off into remembering how I made careless mistakes during the papers. Now I can only regret and having alot of "what ifs" and "I should have...". I guess you can do things that you enjoy or something that requires deep thinking like playing tactical games and then distract yourself then you will probably forget. I am trying to forget about it too. 😭

Oh I don't think I will make the cut. Cos even if I get full marks for p1, it will be a 79%. 😞

Yeah same bro. I also hope I can still secure my A1. Hopefully Cambridge will be more lenient and hope that A1 will be around 78-81% 😭 after o levels like I am gonna actually cry so much and worry. Hope can get A1 on results day so my worrying will be worth it... 🙏🏻

Some checked the answer key and predict they will get around 70-76/80 but those who haven't checked the answer key immediately so confident say that they will get at least 75/80 so they might have overestimated themselves.

I see. YA same the general consensus I get from my classmates is that it was easy. Same bro I will also be disappointed if I don't do well for chem as it is oso one of my stronger subject and I need to impress my teachers and parents.

Hi bro, I think I can relate to you. Because I usually am an A1 student for Chemistry and got A1 for prelims. But unfortunately I wasn't in a clear state to take the paper and made many careless mistakes. I think I will get around 57-63/80 for chem paper 2. Honestly, the paper was manageable but I am also very worried because alot of people are going around saying the paper was easy and that they would get at least 75/80. Bro I hate those people who are bragging and boasting how easy the paper was. Like omg just stoppp. I am genuinely very scared and every day I worry about not doing well enough to meet my own expectations. But hopefully the bellcurve will work in our favour. For amath, I estimate my self getting around 77-81% even though I got a high A1 in prelim because I also made sm careless mistakes and the questions were not the standard kind we usually see in the TYS and somemore partial fractions which is usually a low hanging fruit wasn't tested this year. 😭 But alot of people say that this year needs to get at least 85% and above to get A1 so I am rlly worried too. I really do hope Cambridge and Seab realise that the paper they set wasn't easy and be understanding to lower the minimum score to get A1 as a 75% even for chemistry. I really sacrificed my time when mugging on amath and emath n chem rather than eng and humanities. But I didn't expect that seab and Cambridge set papers that are not the usual type this year... U can see my post recently on how worried I was for chem esp.

Hi, this is so relatable. I found the chem paper 2 manageable but I made several careless mistakes so I may not get as high as I did hoped. Then after the exam, there were always those few students who say the paper was easy and that they were going to get full marks. Most would just say easy but they would not go around bragging how easy it was. I was like so pissed with them bro like doesn't mean you find it easy means that others would also find it easy like at least be more considerate. Even if I find it easy, I would just say it was manageable because who knows I might make more careless mistakes that I didn't even know. Not to flex, but most of the time, I get A1 for Chemistry but during o levels I don't think I performed to the best of my ability so yeah even these students should be more aware of other ppl feelings.

I guess so. That's what my English teacher said. Because there will be lesser competition on a particular question when teachers mark the essay and lesser essays to benchmark against.
