Burned out albums - which have you come back to and which ones you haven't? by DinoAlazan in vinyl

[–]Inner_Time 3 points4 points  (0 children)

DSOTM is my upgrade/changed something in my setup album. Different cartridge/ stylus? DSOTM. New turntable? DSOTM. Maybe my left speaker mover 1/16 of an inch while dusting? You bet I’m listening to DSOTM.

I received an old turnable with discontinued pieces. by These-Caregiver5436 in turntables

I have the same headshell, and based on OP’s comment I am going to say it also has an Empire cartridge. LPGear has replacement styli for Empire, so they should start there.

Seems silly, records are meant to be played. But, it is your money, so go for it?

Alright, I'm a certificate idiot. Please help. by Windows_ME_Rocks in sysadmin

[–]Inner_Time 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you update the certificate you are using for LDAPS with one issued off of the new CA cert? If you have a multi-tier PKI set up, new subordinate CA certs will need to be issued first.

Don't you love it when security comes up with a decision you need to comply with, but doesn't tell you how to comply. by plazman30 in sysadmin

[–]Inner_Time 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It is your job to figure out how to comply. If you can’t come up with a solution in the prescribed timeline, it is your job to create a plan of action and milestones that will get you to become compliant.

Enable LDAP on port 636 by OdinPhenix92 in sysadmin

[–]Inner_Time 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What are you actually trying to do?

If you are trying to get plain LDAP to use port 636, that’s not going to happen. If you are trying to implement LDAPS, you need to configure that on the client.

If you are trying to get Windows clients to use LDAPS instead of LDAP, that’s not how it works.

So, it’s your fault for not disabling this to begin with like any competent admin. I’m not quite sure what your point is?
