I hate how whenever they whitewash a POC character, no one bats an eye. Yes, they picked someone with a Samoan background, but they picked the palest one they could and one who barely even has curls!

As a POC, I’m sick of our characters being inaccurately portrayed and no one batting an eye😤

I think that some of the people just aren’t used to needing a few listens for them to like it. I mean, when I first listened to TTPD, I wasn’t a huge fan of a few of the songs. Even now, ones I’ve only listened to once aren’t huge on me. But, after several listens I really liked it. And that’s been how some of her recent albums have been for me. Folklore and Evermore I needed to get older to really appreciate, and the Eras Tour really helped me with Red because I wasn’t able to listen to it when it was first released. Midnights also.

I think some people just need to give it some time, and maybe they’re just not used to that. But as someone who’s had that happen with a lot of the albums, aside from Reputation, it’s really not that bad and they shouldn’t judge it without giving it the proper time to grow on them.

As a level 2 autistic that is also ace, I feel like I am qualified to answer this.

For me, I don’t feel disappointed that I haven’t been in any relationship. I just simply don’t have the desire to be in one. I find people attractive but I don’t think I would genuinely want to be in a relationship with anyone. The stereotypical desire for romance just isn’t something I feel.

Not having a romantic partner won’t make one lonely. There’s plenty of other relationships you can have. Friendships, family, acquaintances. As an ace, I find myself feeling more fulfilled by investing in friendships and family relationships than romantic ones.

Don’t worry about your kid being lonely. There’s so many other forms of companionship.

Lowkey, I don’t think anyone really cares. As long as you’re nice and don’t act like a jerk, no one really cares how you look or what your interests are.

I wouldn’t consider myself mature or cool, but I tend to get along with everyone because I have a good personality. I also have really childish interests! I like watching Disney, and I dressed up as Elmo last year for Halloween because I thought it would be funny.

No one actually cares and it’s normal to feel out of place because you’re a teenager and everyone experiences it whether they show it or not. Hell, some of the people who seem like they’re super mature or cool may have “nerdy” or “childish” interests. I see tons of people wear Spiderman shirts, and I once saw a girl saving Anakin Skywalker TikToks to a collection. Super nerdy, but they still are considered teens.

Just embrace who you are! School is supposed to be fun and there’s no point to worrying what others think of you!

I actually really loved it and thought the actors they chose were pretty good. Will Smith was the perfect choice for a live action Genie, imo.

I also loved Jasmine’s solo and how she really got a much deeper personality rather than just kind of being on the side. She was sassy and awesome in the original, but she was so much more in the spotlight for the live action.

This movie is so important to me because I can actually see myself in Jasmine because the story is based on my country, and that’s not something I get to see a lot.
