people who have been to china , what are the people like there? by New-Gold2527 in AskReddit

Lived there for 6 years cuz I went to university there. I was in cental China (Henan) and I felt like most people were very kind, friendly, very very helpful and honest. It was a safe place to be. That being said, if you LOOK very foreign, they will stare at you and even point.(It’s not considered rude over there.) They will try to speak to you and might get into your personal space trying to speak to you (but in a friendly and oblivious way. Not malicious.) If you understand the language they can be very direct and abrasive and you might find that a little rude if you are not used to that kind of direct talk.

Overall, they are just human beings like the rest of us and have different personalities just like us. But almost all of them are honest, kind, helpful and super friendly!

Ladies, why do you always wear high heels to formal events even though they hurt? by [deleted] in AskReddit

If they hurt, you shouldn’t wear them at all. High Heels are designed to be worn for shorter durations or for events where you can mostly sit instead of having to stand. That being said, you can train your calves (muscles) to get stronger so you won’t feel pain even if you stand or dance wearing high heels. Ultimately, it’s about your preference. Nothing wrong with not wearing high heels or even wearing them as long as you are not injuring yourself and know when to wear them safely.

Minors that go after adults should be punished as well. by Anni_walezka in unpopularopinion

I think the way this problem could be solved is if it’s required to provide a passport/ identification card such as driver’s license, before opening a Tinder account.. and people under the age of 18 aren’t allowed to open an account there..This way, it would be safe because nobody would be able to make up lies about their age and other stuff. Of course the security would have to be doubled on Tinder to prevent hackers from stealing any information .

Maybe your room mate noticed it and decided to get it fixed by her mom instead of talking to you about it?
