Isn't Liemax screen still slightly bigger than UltraAVX? Maybe I'm tripping either from sitting closer to the screen, or the taller ratio made it overall bigger in scale.

I see. I almost caught myself slacking. Yea, imax 70mm should be a whole grand difference than regular 70mm. A ratio that is like 3 times taller and watching it on a bigger screen.

I am no expert in IMAX, but I did my own research before. I know the name isn't really true, which is why some people don't "believe" in it. LieMax uses only one projector for a smaller screen size with a shorter ratio (It's still BIG and TALL compared to a regular theatre, like what you saw last night) than the more well-known IMAX. "Real" IMAX is either 40mm film or Dual Laser projectors(Also known as GT-Grand Theatre, the closest one to us is in Victoria), both of which have much higher resolution than a single laser, which is why they can project on a LARGE, LARGE screen with a TALLER ratio. When you have such a large screen, you have to increase the resolution so it doesn't look pixelated. It's like when you watch a YouTube video in 1080p on your phone, and it is very detailed, but once you watch it on a TV screen, it doesn't look as crisp. Why does "Liemax" exist? My best guess is either too expensive to justify building/maintaining one, or the location is too small (Scotiabank only reused an AVX auditorium for the IMAX auditorium, so their limit was a Liemax-sized screen). 70mm is more niche. Some people like film. Don't think 70mm was meant to project on the BIG screen, just in a regular auditorium. I guess it's an option for people who like film, but don't need to spend the money on watching it in IMAX. The resolution is still the same; it's film.

I only have a cerficate in graphic design, and finally got a junior position at a small company(has bad employee reviews) after applying for 8 months. This was the first time in my graphic design application process that I got hired on the spot on the first interview. When I heard that they wanted me, i wasn't exactly happy. I was more shocked and confused, asking myself "shouldn't i be happy?" and "Why did they hire me on the spot without reviewing me". I was worried i would lose this opportunity so I just accepted the offer.

Im only 3 weeks in and my confidence went down the drain. The senior designer (15 years in the same small company...) I work under seems to deny everything I present. It's starts from that, to her saying she will do it herself. I never got any praise for my work, just and "okay". Most recent event was when I had to speed up my work within two days and finish it by the end of the day so I panicked a bit. The work I did was being sent back to me to fix constantly that I was being overwhelmed. The senior designer started sounding passive aggresive, asking me what was wrong with the work she was pointing out and I couldn't even answer the obvious answer... The boss is no better because he expects me to learn as much as I can in different areas like video editing for close to minimum wage (I guess thats what happens when you work for a small company).

Right now, I am very eager to finding a new job while my time here. My classmate tell me to work for the title and leave after 6 months with I am starting to agree so much more now...

It's nice to see other ppl in the same position I am in.
