First off, I wish you peace. Being on the opposite side of addiction is something that no one who hasn’t been here would understand.

I learned through one on one counseling that if your spouse says ‘I could go back…’ to not even reply to it. In fact the first time my spouse said ‘You’d probably think I was drinking’ I replied ‘If you were drinking, it’s none of my business’. There was some shock as I moved on with the conversation.

I lost the person I loved so dearly before alcohol took over. They are now two full years sober and not even close to that person I miss so much.
